    MA70 vs MA71

The chassis is universal, when they role off the line toyota has no idea which will be turbo or not, It is a MA70 chassis. Once assembled they put the door tag on

No Start button and Fuel pump wiring

Ok I did a new and much more detailed diagram including the fuel pump interupt circut. With this method I could either use the stock fp relay and resistor and just trigger an additional relay to provide 12+v at high load. Or just the fp relay with my own resistor set up. Im also wondering if...

No Start button and Fuel pump wiring

Ok got ya, what prompted you to just go with a full 12+ volts, simplicity or performance?

No Start button and Fuel pump wiring

Dont know why I had never though of that JJ, that would be a simple option. Isnms, after looking your diagram over again, did you wire your relay system as well as leave the stock wiring? What supplies power at low load settings? I realized my system needs another relay even as is otherwise the...

No Start button and Fuel pump wiring

Thanks, I remember seeing your older thread but that one is much more helpful. Your set up looks basically the same as what I plan to do. Nice idea on the y to maintain diagnostic function. So what value of resistor did you choose and why that over a pwm? Any complaints or difficulties tuning...

No Start button and Fuel pump wiring

I have been planning on switching to a MKIV pump for quite a while now but want to keep the stock hi low pressure system. Diagram is at the bottom using a 30a bosch relay. I think I have the relay system worked out all I have left to decide on is how to limit the pump speed for low flow...

Coolant: Toyota Red+ Distilled Rear Diff: Redline 75w90 Tranny: Redline MT90 Oil: Used to run Redline 5-30 but a bit pricey, now syntec euro 0-30, maybe penzoil platinum after this change as autozone has been slackin on the sales! Power Steering: valvoline ATF- propably do a flush soon and...

    Group A Head

The key here is we are talking about a STREET CAR I dont know about you but Im not boosting 24 hours a day. Off boost a turbo engine will behave THE SAME as a naturally aspirated engine so the concepts are still relavent.

    Group A Head

Touche! All Good points, I would still guess that there are still design features within those heads to incorporate some turbulence at lower flow rates besides the actual cc, but then again maybe not. Not like I was on the engineering team. I would still argue that overdoing headwork on a dd...

    Group A Head

My question is what do you plan to do with the car. The combustion chamber design of the Group A heads is great for peak power and flow but I would expect it to fall on its face below that. No turbulance or swirl design = poor mix and power at part throttle and off boost. Just my .02 and all in...

1200cc being pushed by a walbro??? Id plan for a better pump I wont trust a walbro with stock injectors, bu thats just me. Interested to see what you come up with for sequential though.

It this point I think Im just going to just hold off on all the big stuff. TT pump with a new fuel pump control system and fpr are going in this spring, then probably a new bov(looking at the synapse). Then once I am out of school Ill finish putting the other motor back in, probably ffim, build...

eh 400 bones are better spent, everytime I work on the car I get a little closer to saying screw it and just taking a few days and building an ffim. I havent looked into filter placement in a while, I was thinking back on the frame just behind the subframe and undercover but I havent thrown it...

    stroker?????

+ much stronger pistons and rods that can take the extra stresses. And one of the biggest benefits to a stroker that has not been brought up yet is it will spool an enourmous turbo and make even more power doing it

Oil system up does look good and very similar to whats still sitting on my shelf, except only one filter!:nono: In for pics of the trap door set up, I have been debating where to put mine to make it accessable but still located somwhere...
