why would the exhaust expand as it was cooling?

3" is plenty big for your mods and power. 935 motorsports was telling me that a guy dynoed in the 500's range, thought his 3" exhaust was restricting power, so he switched to a 3.5" exhaust and gained 13 rwhp. 3" flows well.

when i was looking into getting a cummins 12 valve, the ar on the exhaust was tiny. it was a holset, and it had a huge compressor with a tiny ar.

ive got an 88 with a mapecu that was recently hard-wired in. when the afm is unplugged and the map ecu is plugged in, it will idle but not rev at all. but every car will do that, that doesn't have to do with the map ecu. if you unplug the afm, and don't plug in the map ecu, it will do the...

i don't have to do emissions testing, so i dont' have to worry about a tester makeing me change to a catch can, and those filters aren't air filters. they are specifically made for valve covers. by the way..... what is the pcv??

is there some sort of advantage to putting on a catch can, as opposed to useing valve cover breathers (little k&n style filters)? I'm thinking about rigging up domestic valve cover breathers rather than getting a catch can. but I don't want to be missing out on something that a catch-can...
