map ecu not working tried everything.... please help

ok so first off im not really a newbie this is just a new name and im usually on SF but im really sick of SF its all bs, so im back on here.... i have a huge problem i just wired in my map ecu and basically its not working i can get online with the ecu just fine and everything reads but the car wont rev and is throwing the AFM code all the typical symptoms. i can unplug the mapecu and no difference car idles but no rev and running pig rich, i got a base map from someone off SF but it was in VFK and im pretty sure our cars are AFM so im confused ive checked all the wiring but im open to try anything right now because nothing is working, also tho there are 2 afm inputs on the ecu VC and KS i wired into ks because thats what the safc uses, also the car is an 87...... PLEASE help

I believe our cars are VKF (Karmen Vorkecks)...spell check. Do you have your wiring diagrams?

ive got an 88 with a mapecu that was recently hard-wired in. when the afm is unplugged and the map ecu is plugged in, it will idle but not rev at all. but every car will do that, that doesn't have to do with the map ecu. if you unplug the afm, and don't plug in the map ecu, it will do the same thing. I still don't know if my map ecu is wired in 100% correctly. I believe it is, but i have yet to varify it. I will not have it hooked up to a dyno until i put on my new set-up (greddy manifold, and t4 turbo... yee ha). i don't want to waste money dyno tuning my ct26 when i should be dyno tuning my new set-up in the upcoming future. but who knows, im going to go to turbo tech (the place thats going to tune my car) tomorrow and see if they can quote me for a map ecu tune. but most likely ill wait until i get my new set-up installed. im waiting on a clutch, turbo, and then some misc things like gaskets and such. but ill probably pull this thread up when i get everything tuned!

i just looked at it and i made it sound like i have those things on the way, but i haven't bought, and don't have money for a clutch and or turbo. so it will be a while before i get this sucker tuned.
