Some are worse then others, some people i've talked to hadn't at all. Mine wasn't too bad like 3 holes lined up and 1 had to be slightly ovaled out, I used an air grinder when I did it so a dremel would probably take a lot longer.
I put it on when the engine was out on the stand, the only neg. about it is that the flange holes had to be enlarged because they weren't lined up correctly to the turbos, which was a pita. Other then that everything else was fine, but you'll have to pull the twins.
I have the ebay one, same quality as the 935 one just check the welds when you receive it I always check that when it comes from ebay. Other than that it works great, go for the one that's listed at the lowest cost, all are the same.
Pull codes you'll still have stored codes even if the light is off, that will give you a start on things. It could be a multitude of things, and as for the ecu caps they aren't always extremely bad and noticeable, mine were bad and there was such minimal leakage it was barely seen, but even just...
I do believe the fan and all lines will work just check the size of that fan to make sure it'll fit. Don't quote me about the computer for it but i believe that will work as well.
Curious I hadn't seen a thread on this and the search doesn't like short words, but does a 2J exhaust manifold fit on a 1J head? The reason I ask is my buddy has a 2J t4 manifold that he's just gonna give me so I wouldn't have to buy one which would save me some money on my plans. If anyone...
Do a compression and leak down test, also check your pcv valve. Another thing did you prime the turbo correctly? If you still have those pipes routed to your intake pipe and your turbo is blowing oil it could be sucking it through into the manifold, any oil in the intake pipe itself?
Sounds like the guy doesn't seem to know for sure what he is talking about unless he told you there is an issue with the 6th cylinder(not that the valve isn't sitting "right") figure out what he means by that, because you may be needing to do valve work, so put that into the equation as well...
Yes check all your wiring to your starter more than likely it's not even your starter, I have the same issues with bad wires sometimes it doesn't want to start but always will the second time. The wires have way too much VD from bad/dirty connections and old wires. Also might as well get the...
A pictures worth a thousand words, get one of them that'll help verify. Sounds almost like your talking about the valve stem seals though although they aren't rubber.
Hey man got your PM look below in my sig those are the mods that gave me 370rwhp and 380trq. Also yes it's on stock twins, I've had it that way since around march or whenever tx2k8 was. Since then I turned the boost up to 18psi and installed 2jz 440cc injectors with a wally 255 and tuned to...
Sorry I haven't updated in a while I garaged the car for the winter and figured I'd leave the issue for me later, but it looks like I have some wire chasing to do. I swapped in a known good working cc unit and that unit acts the same way mine did as if it were shorted out. Sounds too me like I...
I've never had an issue with them on my dd's all of my cars I've had a lightweight flywheel. It's quick revving and reduces rotating mass. All the flywheels job is is to keep engine rotation during between power impulses, as long as you don't go too light you should be fine. The best thing to do...
