They should have a little play, after all the flywheel is on a peg so its not going anywhere. Just make sure you locktite them in when you put them back don't want them working loose after a few 1000 miles:kaboom:
I have a strange noise coming from my clutch witch I thought was a bad clutch release bearing, because as soon as I touched the peadle the noise would go away. Well I have the box out now and the bearing is like brand new. What else can make a noise like a warn dry bearing?? The clutch fork has...
Higher oil pressure is prefferable to low oil pressure (to a point, when you start blowing seals) Shimming the pump will give you a higher pressure above certain rpm's
I have this same problem yet I don't even have a DDP. Actuator set to 7psi holds 7psi till 4000rpm then just shoots up to 13psi by redline with no boost controller. Mods are home made 3" exhaust from elbow back, modified stock elbow and a K&N drop in filter.
Driving like a granny I have seen just shy of 34 mpg imperial (28.4 US)on the highway. I have, drop in K&N, 3" turbo back exhaust everything else stock. I avarage about 25 mpg for day to day use.
Better go back to basics if you don't know the history of the engine, pull the front cover off and make sure all your timing marks line up. Then remove and refit the cps as per tsrm (might want to replace the rubber O ring while you have it out). Now you should know the timing is where it needs...
I would assume if its going to take 5 hours he means that between the crankcase/sump is leaking so the subframe needs to be dropped to take the sump off to clean it and re seal it.
Sort the codes out, 52 and 51 will be killing the cars performance.
I had platinum plugs in my car for less than 1000 miles before the ceramic craked on 3 of them and gave me a missfire. Put in NGK BCPR6ES coppers (all 6 came to less than the price of 1 platinum) did 10,000 miles on them...
An F1 car would not attain 4g's on a skid pan because it would be relying totaly on mechanical grip so would more than likely only achive slightly better numbers than the Caterham. F1 cars only pull 4g's when they are fully loaded with downforce in high speed bends, at the Becketts complex at...
I'm no pro when it comes to engine building, but I have been running an after market OEM style head gasket with new stock Toyota bolts (Torqued to 72 lbs/ft) for the last year at 15 psi and over 16,000 miles covered without any problems. Contrary to what people will tell you Toyota head bolts...
