on an older a/t tranny i always change the filter and fluid then a week or 2 later change then change both agian.
the reason most trannys fail after a tranny service is due debrie clogging up the tranny filter after fresh atf goes to work on it. this causes a restriciton for fluid flow...
well i would have the rods heavy blasted and lightend. the bottom end would be good for a solid 500rwhp. just note your pistions are the only "weak" link. just make sure it has a good tune and it should last at 450-500.
i would also upgrade to arp rod bolts to, for like 50 bucks why not.

this is my 10:1 n/a-t car, as far as the motor it doesnt even have 10k on it. i had a good turbo on the car till something was droped in the acordian hose. so the turbo that was on the car was off of my parts car. as far as fix your car type stuff i had shipped out a turbo the week before to be...
lol no not a bhg. the car had an older turbo on it and the seals were crappy. i would say slightly more smoke than a cold morning, not james bond style.
is it even a valid ticket? i mean it just doesnt seem like its a "law". the local cops have a reputation for some strange tickets that are just thrown out. it just is a waste of time.
i think this just might be one of the funniest tickets anyone on here may have gotten.
i got a ticket not warning for excessive white smoke, the supie was still very cold and hadnt been started in about 3 weeks. now granted the turbo is on its way out but come on. once the car had warmed up it...
having done almost every combination of n/a-t.
i have done
7mge-t with n/a elcetonics-just wont last, a/f's are just to crazy. insane torque curve(way to much timming) NOTE: i didnt use any piggy back, with maft-pro it may be better but still to flakey for me
7mge-t with turbo...
not to high jack your thread but i got a tire question also.
do you need a spacer to run mk4 n/a wheels? i plan on running MT slicks, also the car is lowered 1"

God knows how fast in a blown 69 corrvette 427 with 200 shot.i just held on and prayed. i dont...
n/a's dont have a plug for that pressure sensor. just use an aftermarket boost/vaccum gauge.
not having that sensor will NOT cause a check engine
