egr deleting is simplistic with those cars, and doesnt effect anything because the whole system is eliminated. Remember those cars were designed for rallycross, wayyy before street cars. All the vacuum lines can go off the rear of the block, along with the two or three sensors on the drivers...
consider himself lucky lol, or a weenie behind the wheel. thats good though, reliability is nice.
just run dsm link its so cheap its worth it.
well the stock r-154s can do it no problem. Only v8s put out that much tq, unless your at 1500hp with our engines. Youre right tq does break...
hmm maybe my buddies had a few vacuum leaks lol it surged like mad. did you delete the egr?
the 1j? nothin special. 15psi street, 20 on 110 octane. needs a piggyback at the least. went from extremely lean (with the stock pump) to extremely rich with the walbro. I do know the car can handle a...
lol just wait 400 ponies to a dsm anything will soon be damage!
not always is it caused from a missed shift or launch....just weak. i prefer my tranny known to withstand 1000hp in stock form.
Ive had my hand in about 8 different dsm engines, from stock to not. How do those 272s idle? like shit? 20psi on 16g is oook, nothing fancy there considering mine was at 15. My newly aquired 1j would eat that. From a dig even.
It doesnt matter eclipse/talon/laser, many people are shitty...
You made it sound like you were having some serious problems with the idle. I would consider starving for fuel at idle a problem. yes 14.8-15.2 at idle is fine, you were just making it sound like it was at 18 or something.
DSMs? hmm....shattered t-cases, blown synchros, overheating and...
My idle does that lol.
I think DSMs are poster children for every automobile related problem known to man.....am I right? At least the ten or so people i know that have them have had some really weird issues, and only about 3 of them didnt know what they were doing in the first place. Mine...
i had tried this with my mustang a few years back....didnt turn out too well, spent most of my time driving back and forth with belts and always too short or my tensioner wouldnt adjust far enough...had to buy an idler. Keep trying you may luck out.
i really do think alltracs are one of the most underrated cars in the world...along with cosworths.
Im curious now...think it could be possible to adjust VVTi with a standard honda vtec controller? If it could then add that with a 264 exhaust...i think some good power numbers could be...
So the irony of this all is, noone bought them because of the weak rod belief, but they happen to be the same? What about forged internals? Nobody ever thought of that?
Anywho, there must not be enough duration in the VVTi cams to handle much more than that. Hence the switching. I wouldnt...
Weird...mine rides on 14.8-15.2 cruising. I think my tps is going out, sometimes it feels like a flat powerband like im only giving it 3/4 throttle and others it tears down the road.
