Interested to see your feedback on the your sway/spring rate journey. Im on stock springs/shocks right now but am planning on ordering a tanabe rear bar this spring to try first since the rear should affect overall roll more. Then maybe next winter I want to build a set of coilovers similar to...
Nothing too exciting this weekend, did a full fluid change on the Evo. Oil/trans/xcase/diff, I was tired of the trans being a temperamental b!tch until warmed up. Its very utilitarian like the 154, strong enough for some solid power but shifts a bit like a farm truck. Anyway I looked under the...
Hmm, looks like I'm 99% sure and 100% wrong :) . Thanks for chiming in rodel.
If you can confirm that's what it is you might have no option but to rig up something custom.
Glad to hear he still has it, I need to just give him a call sometime. Maybe plan a central or east side meet for this summer.
Faye, so whats the ETA on your bumper? How bad was it
99% sure that its an oem spoiler, Kaminari & Regulus are the only two aftermarket units remotely resemble stock that I have ever seen and it is definitely not either of those.
Bit of progress, rack is cleaned, stripped and disassembled. Now onto cleaning every little crevice inside and out and waiting on some more supplies to show up. Even though you cant see the rack when its in the car I have some plans in store for cleaning this up.
Also debating on what...
Welcome, and glad to see another one saved. They really are awesome cars and getting much more rare.
If you plan on keeping a running thread with updates on the build you should start one in the Supra Build Up/Gallery. There are some other good ones in progress there that are worth following.
Anything on SF? Also who is still around?
Duane is in the middle of a build, kwnate is MIA with a family and I haven't heard from Tom or Ron in ages, Adam is still around and active I think. Tri Cities guys have been MIA as well.
I was hoping progress would pick up quicker than this but..........life
Here are the last few shots of that powdercoating job I did, so glad to be finished with it and to be able to direct what limited free time I have to my own projects from here on out.
All in all I think it...
+1^ 3p explained it better than I was about to.
Looking good Faye, I have been drooling over your wheels on IG for a while now. Gold wheels aren't my thing but these are not your standard gold wheels and they WORK.
Jealous of your supra Fam.........No supra group to speak of over here, well...
Nice work, after completely rewiring a few factory harnesses I have always thought building one from scratch would be much more enjoyable. Jealous of how much progress you make, I have too many other projects.....
Im quietly watching...........
I have never heard of completely removing the rear bar........The consensus I have always seen is the best handling setup is to mirror your spring rates. If your running stiff springs then soft bars to offset. If running soft springs stiff sways to match.
My...
Glad to see the your still making progress................I know the never-ending build feeling.
I am 100% with you on the 7M stubbornness, JZ swaps seem like the norm now days.............If we wanted easy we would own a different car than the MKIII. Same goes if we cared about were dyno #s...
