^^^ Super top secret, Newer Ducati's use an identical charcoal canister to the JZA70 and actually have a better mount for relocating. Check ebay, mine was a brand new take off a undriven bike and cost <20 shipped. :D
Few updates, finally got the majority of my powdercoating parts out the door...
I'm going to go with a a coolant leak at some point. Hopefully just a old leak from one of the lines to/from the turbo. Hard to say though, any other evidence?
I believe this is the original issue that suprasport had. I also dont see them doing much lately so I am not sure they would be willing to pick the project back up even if you could generated a list of interested buyers. I always liked the idea of a factory looking cast manifold but will be...
If you take apart the passenger door lock there is a code on the tumbler. Any locksmith or toyota should be able to cut you a brand new key based on that.
Not much progress sadly but parts continue to roll in....................... the Coating work has really been eating up all of my time but I am hopefully wrapping up the last of it this week. Probably the last job I will do for a while as I don't have time to work on my own projects let alone...
Tried that once as well..............................Not the car to teach her to drive a stick on.
Mine, is just underestimating my goals every time I overhaul something on it..........................and underestimating the how long any of these 'projects' are going to take.
Very much so, the first one took me 4+ hours of trying different approaches on it and then finally biting the bullet and going at it will a chisel. The other 3 probably took me 1 1/2 or so including turning down the piece of pipe to fit. Definitely a worth while time investment.
Not much...
I believe you are on the right track. Sounds exactly like heat soak is causing fuel vaporization and vapor lock is occurring on the fuel rail. You can check the FPR itself and the rest pressure by following this: http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=FI&P=70
If your fuel...
Now that you mention it I am coming up on 10 as well, summer of 2006. I was one when my car was sold thought so I didn't have the option to pick one up new. :D
Looking at it that way it's a little sad that after this last down stint its probably been on the road about half the time I have owned...
I have been slowly making some progress here and there, between taking a much over due vacation, a 8 day power outage and the ensuing amount of work that followed since I work for the Utility Company.
After battling the first LCA bushing with a sawzall and chisel I decided there is no way I...
Damn you work fast Albert...........my car has been in the post paint stripped stage for longer than I care to admit. Pretty awesome for a weekends work.
It looks like a very well kept example and with those miles is quite rare. Welcome and there is a great wealth of information on this site if you can get the hang of the search feature. There aren't as many active users as there once were but those of us here will do our best to help with any...
Little progress, not much for pics though.
I was able to pressure wash and de-grease the subframe, lower arms and knuckles. I also managed to get all of the inner parts of the lCA bushings out so I am down to just the outer 'Sleeves'. I was successful in getting one out by cutting most of the...
I'm going to have to check out that vw fuel line. That would match all of my black braided lines for fuel.
Props on the 7M principals, I have the same mindset and the just swap it mentality really gets to me. Especially with the new crowd on the facebook groups, Swapping a JZ series does not...
