    Dual SAAB/Porsche BOVs

I just picked up a HKS 3000 pipe and was thinking of running dual BOV... Why? I'm running a 62-1 upgrade and I want to make sure enough pressure is released so to protect the Turbo. The BOV are faily cheap and I already have one. I can drill and tap some fittings into my aluminum IC...

    Let me see your trunks!

I finally got around to taking some pictures of my trunk. I provided a slidshow for those who are really curious.... and as well 'cuz I'm a showoff :evil2: http://s21.photobucket.com/albums/b284/supralonerider/Sub%20Enclosure/?action=view&current=0f18095d.pbw

egr gasket at the back of the head

I also had to replace mine once, and the tip given to was the following: -Remove the valve covers. -Raise the front of the car and place on stands. -Put a jack under the center engine cross member and loosen the 4 polts and 2 nuts (or something like that) from the member and drop it to its...

Installing CPS (not a timing Q)

How about something dumb like the old O ring still in head and that is why the new ring gets pushed up to the top? The O Ring should fit in the groove just above the upper gear. Like mentioned, put a little oil on the rubber so it doesn't get ripped when installing and it will go in easier (same...

    Let me see your trunks!

???? Proper excursion ???? A free air setup does not allow for any air from the back of the woofer to reach the front. The proper way is to make a baffle board (the part you mount the woofer on) that seals one side from the other and uses the trunk as a box. Usually free air are done in...

    Let me see your trunks!

I'm really confused with the Sub setup, it might be just me. It looks like the cone is facing down, but I don't see anything that would isolate the front sound wave from the rear sound wave. The bass notes generated from front would cancel out the rear. Is there an opening at the front of the...

    What are these?

Yup, agree, Fuel Rail isolators.... You mount the black plastic ring side against the rail and not the head.

Damn did I make a mess changing LSD fluid

... Or use a turkey baster (long plastic tube with a squeeze bulb on the end) to suck the fluid out of the bottle and transfer it to the diff. Worked for me with no mess, but man, what a stink, my garage smelled like a sewer when I emptied out the old stuff.:aigo: If your oil in the diff was...

    What is this plug??

Just a guess, but it looks like the size of a Cold Start Injector Timer. I'm guessing as I see other Thermostat housing connectors missing in the picture. There is also some A/C related connections on the lower fender wall, but I can't remember what the connectors look like.

    Installing an amp, tips?

Hey Anthony, good thing he doesn't live up here, I had a minus 17c/ 1f last night. Figit090: LOL... All this reminds me of when my dad used to try and give me advice and his experiences so that I could avoid any issues, but as with most, I had to find out myself and went ahead and tried it...

    Installing an amp, tips?

IMHO... I think you are barking up the wrong tree thinking that the Kenwood amp will make the 3.5 speakers sound better. Even though the JBL speakers are spec'd to play down to 90hz, you have to look at what power level this spec was taken at. At mid to high volume, those cones will be traveling...

    Installing an amp, tips?

Hmmm, No one mentioned that there may be an issue with using 3.5 speakers... As you mentioned, you needed to turn down the bass on the front speakers to make them sound like they are not trying to destroy themselves... 3.5 speakers are not recommeded to produce bass, so even an amplifier with...

Where Do I get this wing???

I agree... Whale tail is the best aftermarket replacement ; IMHO, to please the non-conventional thinkers who would just put anything on their car to make it look "different" than the rest.

    7mgte new headgasket no start

Agree, backfire usually is an indicator of bad timing between spark (cps / distributer), crank and cam marks. When you tested for gas, did you dump some down the cylinders /TB that may have caused the backfire? Last dumb idea, your plug wires in the right places?:dunno:

What's a good setup I can have without having to add an amp?

I have to also agree with GrimJack and Anthony. The best solution is using an amp to power the front speakers. I am pushing over 200W RMS into a 6.5 component set in custom speaker pods that replace the, IMO, useless map pockets at the bottom of the door. The pods are sealed and allowed me to...
