woudl it be like the red nose logo? i already have a supra keychain and a toyota one, so i dont know if i need another. but if its pimp enough looking i'll defineately sprign for one!!
i need to get a new key cut too, but i want one that looks classy.
dude that looks scary. just looking at that makes me shiver. the only thing i would ever do with a jac but without jackstands is change wheels.. and even when/if i do that i try and get the new wheel on FAST.. im so sketch about shit like that
did it have tranny oil in it? that really sucks. i dont know if this is safe so i dont recommend you doing it, but like supra90turbo said soak it to shit in some liquid wrench type stuff..
welp, just did a little bit more work. put in a cd player and replaced the front stock speakers with some nice little JBL 4" two way speakers that grimjack kindly pointed out I had and were worth using. heh, i would have totally never though about using them. but ya they sound great except for...
the red one to me makes the car classier... its kinda lik an emblem on a ferrari or porsche. the toyota logo kinda makes the car seem more like a normal car. the toyotas mblem looks better IMO, but the red one has more class and is more distinguished.
it would be easy, just take off that pipe on the top, look inside, and there should be a little plate that turns.. kinda like a throtle, but only one plate i believe... if it moves it works?? heh.. i dont have much experience with NAs ive only ever owned turbos.
its the thing directly on top of the engine that looks like a Y pipe. in there is a little switch that, at certain rpms, changes the length of the intake runners by closing off certain parts and opening others. it is meant to give more top end power. either its working correctly and you really...
I've added a five speed, reaplced leaky weird aftermarket exahust with stock unit, fixed a cracked brittle charcoal canister line (notice how i didnt just cheap out and remove the CC? :P), new master, slave cylinder, new SS braided clutch line. fixed the starting problem by redoing the battery...
i personally dont mind the stock shift lever height, i might get a C's or somethign to shorten the throw, but i like how i can hold the shifter like i would a gun.
just went through something simillar. check all wires coming from the battery to grounds and from the battery to the starter. if any of them are even remotely damages that could be your problem. even if the contact clamps for your battery are damages it could be the problem, cus the starter...
thanks man. it was the ground going to the engine block that was the bad ground. i also tidied up everything else so ya its perfect. thanks for the help. and i hope this thread helps people when they have a problem that seems so strange it seems like nothing could fix it.
For anyone who cares, and for future reference. The problem was the battery connections. replaced both clamps, the ground to the engine, the wire from the positive to the starter and added a wing nut tie down clip to the end of the cable that goes from positive to under the fuse panel. fixed...
ya.. my dad refuses to admit the short could have hurt anything but im pretty sure that didnt help. the only ground that i messed with i tightened back up and that was the one right under the intake manifold by the starter. i'm basically just looking for any suggestions where to look. i'll check...
