In my opinion, yes, of course you will still have to weld that onto a base of some kind. I'm not trying to say it can't be made strong enough with welded corners, of course it can, but I have no doubt that it will be stronger the way you have modeled it, does that make it "better", that's...
How do you think a formed (bent) corner is going to fail? There is no welding to weaken the base metal and nowhere for a crack to start, the bend will leave some radius in the corner and that reduces the stress compared to a "sharp" corner made by two plates. The way alot of these manifolds are...
My bad, the locks and keys changed at some point in 90 I think (EDIT, cars produced after Aug 89 to be exact). The key is a little wider and gets another groove in it as well as I think 7 tumblers in the lock, half go into the top of the barrel and half go in from the bottom.
The ignition is...
The ignition is significantly harder to get apart than the rest.
Also a note that the late 89 and newer keys/locks are slightly different but the same principals apply.
Progress is slow, I only get a chance to work on the car on the weekends.
I put in the 7MGE TPS and the MKIII O2 sensor and fired up the car to set the timing and check the diagnostic codes. Everything checked out, but it should since the only electronics that changed was the ISC.
The...
Is Jim from Hall Motorsports the same Jim Hall from back in the day, who used to work at TPIS, crewed for Leighton Reese, road raced his Camaro, and was a previous owner of Syst's two-tone brown 87T? Or just a strange coincidence?
What's with the "if it hasn't been done before it's not any good" mentality? Nobody should ever try to do somthing that hasn't been done before, something new and different? What makes this engine so special that a product that works well on another engine won't work for us? Good thing you guys...
I believe a state park pass is $25/year, is there a day or weekend pass that costs less? Not that $25 is alot, but people should know they need to pay something and what it will be.

Nice work, I was going to do a 7M pickup, but ended up with a supercharged 99 4runner (needs a supra LSD and water/meth injection tho). Well done on the trans, that's always the crux of the supra engine into truck swap.
When you order a connector like that you only get the body right, not the pins?
I edited my last post with the cars the two styles of alternators are listed for.
like this

and it comes out the "side" of the alternator by the battery cable stud, right?
Mine is like this

I found these pics on napa for a 94 SC300 (round) and 95 SC300 (oval) mine...
I've never seen a 7M with a rectangular plug. Must be different between the SC300 and the MKIV. The connector would come from the chassis side, not the engine wiring harness.
That's what I did too, just keep trying numbers unil you find a match that's close. I found about 10 different sizes from napa and then I cross checked all those at autozone and only 3 or 4 came up there, so I picked one of those. I knew I would buy it from napa, but they still don't show if...
