    oil filter relocation setups

I asked this question awhile ago and didn't find anyone who was running without the stock filter-mount/cooler thingy. I ended up making my own adapter on the cheap by just taking a 3/4-16 bolt, boring a hole down the middle, threading it into the block and using a nut to lock it down, just leave...

2JZGE MKIII with 7MGTE Wiring and Electronics

89+ is easier if you get a 1JZ engine from a supra (JZA70). That is the only plug-and-play option, and before the BIC mounts came along it was pretty much the only option. I don't know much about the 1JZ swap, but I do know that some of the other cars that the 1JZ came in use different mount...

2JZGE MKIII with 7MGTE Wiring and Electronics

OK, let me break it down, there are two things on the side of the engine there, the engine mounts themselves, the round rubbery things and the engine mount brakcets, the aluminum part that bolts to the block. You can't use the 2JZ engine mount brackets. If you have a pre 89 like I do you can use...

2JZGE MKIII with 7MGTE Wiring and Electronics

Nah, It's not that far off, the shifter fits through the hole, just the bolt holes on the mount don't line up with the chassis. But now I want to go back and make sure that the input shaft is engaged in the pilot bearing correctly, just beacuse I'm not exactly sure where the problem lies. Once I...

2JZGE MKIII with 7MGTE Wiring and Electronics

I would think the mounts on the chassis are the same no matter what drivetrain went into the car and they could make up the difference with the mounting brackets on the trans. I swapped a R514 into an auto car and a W58 into a turbo car before and didn't have any problems. I'm guessing the 2JZ...

2JZGE MKIII with 7MGTE Wiring and Electronics

I had a problem with the trans mount lining up with the chassis, I'm using the BIC mounts in an 87T chassis, 2JZ W58 bellhousing on a MKIII W58 trans. I would say the back of the trans is about an inch too far forward. I realize this isn't "typical" swap, but there isn't some obvious reason why...

    2JZ-GE (non-turbo) into an 89 non-turbo 5-speed

http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=38286&highlight=2jzge do just like I did, but keep the 7MGE distributor instead of the 7MGTE CPS and coilpacks.

    ALL MN Supra

I am selling my 88 celica alltrac, awesome winter beater for my supra brothers. $1000 takes it. http://alltrac.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=168918#168918 Brake lines under car should be replaced, I spliced in a new section of hard line where it had worn/rusted through, works fine now, but I...

    2JZ NA-T in my 87T

Think you'd be saying the same thing if it was a 7M?

    2JZ NA-T in my 87T

Haha, good question, I was just thinking about that. I've got 4 different MKIII's to work on right now this one is basically just a science project. It's been a few weeks since I've even looked at it. I'm still going to take the project in baby steps so I want to get the engine put back in the...

    2JZ NA-T in my 87T

Congrats, keep the updates coming. I'm pretty sure I originally read the idea from DaveH quite awhile ago, but I still can't find the thread that talked about it, probably lost due to sites getting hacked or whatever. Without Dave's results I'm sure most people wouldn't give the 2JZNA-T half the...

2JZGE MKIII with 7MGTE Wiring and Electronics

Not much, the weather is getting nicer and other things are occupying my time... I did get the transmission switched over and installed and the oil drain hole put into the pan, but that's about it.

    2JZ NA-T into MK3

Perhaps the writing on the cams are from when the valves were re-shimmed? and the crank pulley could easily have been off to do a timing belt. Both could very well have been done as part of regular maintenance, I do find it dissapointing that LEXUS is misspelled though ;) . I wouldn't sweat it...

    2JZ NA-T in my 87T

If you're going to try this I would suggest you stick to the mindset that you first want to try to re-use every piece of 7M compatible electronics (stock or upgraded) that you can, that way you don't even have to think about how to make it work electrically. You can look at my thread, but I...

2JZGE MKIII with 7MGTE Wiring and Electronics

If you look at your 7M mounts you can tell, the old style has a square mount and the bracket going to the engine is made of bent plate steel, the new style has a round mount and the bracket is cast aluminum. Either way you need new brackets, no 2JZGE came with brackets that will work on an A70...

2JZGE MKIII with 7MGTE Wiring and Electronics

The BIC mounts will work. Not all 1JZ mount brackets are the same, it depends what car the engine was originally in. Nille, do you have the newer style crossmember? Only the BIC mounts will work with the older crossmember.

    2JZ NA-T in my 87T

I used my 7M injectors in the 2JZGE fuel rail no problem, no leaks.

2JZGE MKIII with 7MGTE Wiring and Electronics

Thanks, I hadn't seen it, very cool mod. I'll consider it, but will probably stick with the 7M stuff for now.
