lol. Funny craigslist ad for supra

I'm not a 'hater' of honda so much, i have another honda, but i personally find working on the supra is a trillion times easier as its less cluttered. So it takes out the option of this guy being a noob (like i am) and going to a honda for the sake of ease of repairs. He might be going from...

Read brake light question - drivers side always lit

TEWD is your friend here, http://www.cygnusx1.net/supra/Library/TEWD/MK3/manual.aspx?S=Main&P=64 There's also another page on brake lights. As you can see the wires do both seem to be coming straight from the light failure sensor, so i dont think its the problem, because if it were, both...

TEMS "fusible link problem" in MK3

Is this your handbrake light? You can confirm by engaging/disengaging the handbrake. If its the handbrake light and it comes on when you brake, your brake fluid is low. If the light is orange, and looks like a car with two lights on. Its because one of your rear light bulbs has burned out.

    Fog Lights Switch

Update: In case someone is searching for help and finds this thread. I just wired it up in a way that made sense, and long behond it worked. Btw, when i say in a way that made sense, it isn't like the way SOGI's link i posted earlier for 87,88. I later found out after the 87 didn't work, and...

    Fog Lights Switch

Ok i'm doing the SOGI fog mod. I've got an 86.5, and the difference i'm finding in the SOGI 87,88 and 89+ mod is that for some reason in the 87,88 in step 2 (of the link i provided). He says to find 'wire 2' white/green, and basically ground the relay. It makes absolutely no sense, so i...

Loss of battery voltage when running things

So you said you got no warning lights when driving, but you didn't mention if you get warning lights when idling. Which lights do you get, if you get any. I was having similar things, mainly at idle, and i got 3 lights: charge, bulb burned out, handbrake. The problem was fixed by replacing a...

Fog light mod w/ auto off question (warning big picture)

HIUH? lol. I see my stupidity...i was mistaking the dome fuse that lights up the guage's bulbs with the guage fuse that powers the guage needles and incorrectly thinking the fog relay would continue to get power after turning ignition to off just like the backlight of the guage continues to be...

Fog light mod w/ auto off question (warning big picture)

Hi, i've been wanting to do the fog light mod, but i dont know if the auto off feature of the car would still function (with the fog light). I know if i do the mod, i'll use the fogs all the time. I also realize i often forget to turn off the (rear) lights during dark days. So i'm just a bit...

Loss of battery voltage when running things

@IJ: wouldn't the voltage sag naturally from the current draw. I am just thinking about it for the sake of me knowing perhaps in the future when my car gets moody. I figure what you're suggesting is that having a poorly grounded car would result in a high resistance and therefore a voltage drop...

Time to come out and admit retarded mistake

well the first makes sense, i reversed the battery's polarity. And according to the TEWD how the alternator has diode's inside of it, it would result in a complete short circuit... explains the alternator going bad. The second, it was rebuilt. I guess they just didn't rebuild it properly and...

Time to come out and admit retarded mistake

Ok, so i finally gave up on testing things on small hunches, and decided it was probably the alternator. Turns out, the alternator people say it is the problem and the cause is 'delayed excitation', something to do with a (regulator?) chip. Looking back it makes sense, i mean the car was telling...

Loss of battery voltage when running things

If there wasn't such an issue before you relocated your battery, it makes some sense it was caused by the recent work done on the car It sounds like the alternator isn't charging properly, either the alternator is messed or the wiring (in your case the grounding). I had a recent issue with...

Testing out my new camera. (56K will take years)

Very nice shots, i really enjoy having things in focus, unlike my camera. What was the number in terms of (good pictures/to bad). I have a number of 1/50 usually, camera upgrade is definitely on the horizon. Very nice pictures, but also very good 'creative' business which requires a bit more...

problem with power to the car

Use a volt meter, to find the voltage difference between the negative of the battery and the 'supposed ground wire' you're trying to connect, i am pretty sure it should be 12 volts (as it is sparking). Then go thru each wire connecting to this supposed ground, until you find the one that is at...

    replacing headgasket

arrizle, dont you have a N/A. I'm not sure, but i think that may change people's answers to your questions, I have a feeling that you dont have to be 'so hardcore' when it comes to things, as we'll not be dealing with boost. (unless that's something you plan to do in the future)

    Project Clean 87

Which wrecker in vancouver did you go to, was it the one on mitchell island? Cuz i sure remember taking the outside door trim off of it. I dont know how its still there, unless that car has regenerative powers and is making that wrecker a lot of money.:aigo:

Time to come out and admit retarded mistake

Thanks, i was waiting to look at the car before posting, but my flashlight burned out so i guess i will just give an update. As many of you pointed out about the battery, i've replaced it another battery from another car and its still the same. I will be checking the wire from pin 2 of...

Time to come out and admit retarded mistake

Ok, so i connected the battery backwards. I'm justifying it on the fact that i dont have a hood strut, and have to hold the hood up with my back (i'm afraid of using a stick, that it may fall, the result of which would be a lot more painful than holding up a hood for an hour) I hooked it up...
