ah ok. im good friends w/ steve and chris and they have talked about getting some parts from you in the past.
well if thats the case then you might really consider going maftpro route + 550cc.
check out this link- a lot more info than i could tell you.
http://www.maftpro.com/tproinfo.shtml
im a big supporter of the maftpro too. but he already has the lex afm and wanted to spend $800 for everything. that is the only reason i didnt mention it.
also- is this mike out in campton?
im gonna agree you need an injector upgrade. with the bigger turbo and lex afm you need the extra fuel.
what i would do at this point is the injectors, afc, and boost controller. you can these 3 things for $800 and will really start on the way of making some safe and reliable power on your...
glad you got it sorted. i just prefer pre ic since like i said you have some pressure drop across the ic and i like to have my source line as short as possible. but yeah 3000 pipe will be fine. just be sure to keep it away from the exh manifold or shield it from heat. you def dont want that...
ok i see what you are saying. you cant clock the turbo around far enough w/o clearance issues.
on chris's w/ a spacer we were able to clock it around enough to make an easy loop, even w/ using straight fittings. i guess its more of a function of your whole setup, not just the manifold itself.
thanks! altho i didnt have anything to do w/ the yellow one (sean's). he was the guy that originally set it up that way and we adopted the idea. thats one of the cool things about having friends w/ supras. you share good ideas :)
silvermk2-
the oil drain isnt the easiest thing to get at...
well 14th is no good. i just talked to tony and he will be out of town.
he said the 28th will be ok, but he has somewhere to be at 4pm so it would have to get started pretty early.
so. if we want to go out there looks like either keep the 23 sept or early 28 oct. or, we could go to...
ok that sounds good. i wanted to ask before it got any closer in case someone needed to change plans. hope this doesnt cause any issues, just wanted to make every opportunity for people to attend.
i'll call tony @ the dyno tomorrow to see which of these weekends are best for him. believe me...
if you dont want to drill and tap the turbo you could drill and tap the ic pipe coming off the turbo. i prefer a pre ic boost reference since you loose some across the ic.
the lexus afm uses the same kv sensor as ours. you could pick up a lex afm and just swap the sensor over. then later down the road when you have more equipment you could swap over the afm itself.
