i know it isnt the end of the world if we cant dyno. i guess its just something im really into. you should see my own personal folder just at clemons. i think i have 50 or so saved runs.
i still have a few more outs, still time to come up w/ something. but i agree, the most fun about the...
not bad for the mods and on a mustang dyno.
what concerns me tho is the boost level gain. going up 2 psi made very little difference. i would have expected about 15rwhp and 20rwtq increase.
funny thing, you hit your peak torque earlier but your hp later with the increase in boost. odd....
yes i called clemons. their dyno is down, and the parts are at dynojet now. not sure when it is gonna be repaired and back to them.
the reason i wanted to dyno there was because his dad is suffering liver failure and no medical insurance. they need to raise $500k for medical bills, and...
i have never in my years of setting up supra meets had this much trouble.
spoke to automotion, and the 14th is the ONLY weekend they cant do it. there is a big national mustang shootout 14/15. i still havent heard back from either of the other 2 shops.
sure does sound like it.
you might consider going to napa to get one of their block test kits. its easy to use and will test for exhaust gas in the coolant i.e. blown head gasket.
last i checked they were ~$40. or you might take it to a local shop, some of them have a sniffer machine that...
good job matt!
but, whats up w/ the iron oxide?
and also i have a black coated stock exh mani if you want it. i know i say this now after you drop the motor in haha.
its oct 14th for sure. and i'll get us a dyno if i have to build one haha.
a cookout is planned, but if for some reason the weather is kinda blah i had planned on hitting up BW3 or something.
if you drill out the cap over the internal screw you can back it out some. the more you back it out, the more lean the a/f and the higher the fuel cut. i would not advise this without the proper metering equipment.
and it does sound like you have a boost leak as others have said.
thats an ignition code. reset the code by pulling the efi fuse in the fuse box under the hood. pull for ~30 seconds and replace. see if the code comes back. usually that code wont happen while driving. its when you try to start it w/o an ignition signal.
aside from the code, it sounds...
one of the hoses leaking oil- that sounds like the pcv hose. if so, it might have some blowby issues. i would do a leakdown and compression test before buying.
the noise you describe could be anything from exhaust rattle to loose manifold bolts.
they pissed me off.
and id rather dyno on a dynojet.
but come to think of it, rtc uses a DD dyno. hmm. maybe for the sake of being local i'll give automotion another shot. i'll see what they say.
haha yep that is wood.
i made it as a template/proto to see if i liked the positioning of stuff. after that, was making a new one to mold in. just didnt want to go thru all the trouble and end up not liking it.
i no longer have the afc, but when i did i liked it there. i really didnt...

no you dont tap the sending unit itself.
if you want to run just the mech gauge you need autometer adapter #2269
this will allow you to thread straight into the block in place of the stock sending unit.
if you want to run the stock gauge and the mech gauge you will need to tee the...
yes this would be a better choice
