    Its funny when people say, "Cheap, fast, reliable - pick two" because they dont realize that "cheap" doesnt mean "inexpensive". What it means is "shitty quality". A harbor freight hammer will pound the nail just like a hammer at Lowes, but it will save you 15 bucks!

    On the 7MGTE its easier to adjust with it off of the car. There is a long detailed procedure for it. As for the 1jz, I dont know for sure but it cant be too different from the 2jz which is illustrated on the attached pic You can download the 2jz manual online - perhaps somebody can tell you...

    Does the 97 come with the vvti block? Yeah - if the TT motor wasnt at LEAST 2k I would consider using it over the GE block. It would actually have to be about 1k before I would consider using it over the GE. Its just that GE cores are so cheap.....
