24psi on what turbo? You think stock rods are dependable at 600 hp?? You are nuts dude.
Ok, so you are going to FIPG in your injectors? how about your valve covers? Are you going to FIPG the seal on your CPS? How about your oil pump drive shaft? Valve cover gaskets are expensive. What about...
The whole point of what im saying is comparing this to building a 7m with forged internals that is capable of CONSISTENTLY running 500+ hp. If you have a stock setup and dont plan on modifying the 7m block past 450-500 hp then the turboed GE isnt worth your time.
A $400 dollar 2jzge isnt...
I measured the CC the same way - but with valves and plug installed. I will measure them againwith a plexiglass sheet and take pictures when I get the head back from the machine shop next week or so.
Wow dude - maybe you should actually read those before you post them. Even cometic's web site says you dont need to re-torque:
AND, Larry Carley said:
Thats IF, IF, IF, and IF you refer to the previous quote from cometic you will see that it is not required. I think you just made...
Yeah - Ive also had good luck in the past with the shade tree method - Perhaps you could crack the lines one by one from the brake master cyl back to the rear to find a clog?
Explination of pictures - be sure to look on the previous post........
Pic #6 - Clearly shows that AT LEAST 6cc is required to fill the piston valve cutouts. Keep in mind that at this point, all fluid has remained on the piston. By adding more oil it will spill out the side of the piston...

Here is a copy of the link - you can see on the pictures attached to this that the piston dish volume is bigger than what the guy on SF says it is. I also have a couple of other different measurements..... Thats the beauty...
You should try to play with it - I tried removing a few cc's from the piston dish volume, the combustion chamber, varying the thickness of the head gasket, etc and I cant get it to come out to 10:1 for the life of me.
For the volume between the piston wall and cylinder im only calculating...
no - its not worth the money to buy a 2jzgte. You can get a 2jzge, a head gasket, AEM, Ignition, coil packs, 1jz bell housing, low-end single turbo and single manifold for about 3200 bucks. Alot of vendors want about 3k for a 2jzgte, and most gte owners go big single anyway for big HP. Whats the...
Another part to remember is that you can sell the TPS, injectors, etc etc piece by piece on ebay and get back about $100 bucks. Its almost like a cash back rebate only you need to put some work into it.
HOLY SHIT this one is in FL! What a steal - best part is you can meet the guy that pulled it and you know who to go to if the cylinder walls are fucked when you pull the head off to swap the head gasket...
The 7M IS a waste of time unless you really like the nostalgia. I like power and reliablility.
It didnt used to be, but the 2jzge's have become cheaper and easier to modify. For half the price of a built 7M you can have a more capable engine that is already assembled and is, dollar for...
I got it on EBAY from a guy in miami! That price did not include the 320 or so in shipping but it came with a wire harness (for my AEM) and auto trans (which I wont be using)
You can probably get one local for a decent rate.... You might have to drive to FL or something, but the 2jzge is WAY...
