Things I don't like about Supras

A speedo cable is a wearing part. It's designed to wear and take a beating so the speedo gear doesnt have to. Its alot easier to replace a speedo cable than a speedo gear in the tranny. Theyre sposta break. :icon_bigg

    very inexpensive downpipes

as compared to a $250-$350 dp, 90 shipped is great, and i already have a 3" elbow on there, a jblmk3 elbow. So it should be a decent gain still above stock :) since im broke im doin my exhaust piece by piece. Got the elbow real cheap, then the dp. Ill be on the market for a high flow cat next...

Gauge pods mounted on steering column

Thanks man.. i also gave myself a pat on the back... hopefully i get better though haha P.S. Use a dustmask when cutting or sanding.. that stuff is dangerous... and the resin is really really potent... i did it outside. and still had to take breaks for air.

    Top-end lifter noise!?

are you sure its top end noise? is it like a clunking? could be rod knock.. try stethoscope to see if u hear it louder in the oil pan/bottom end area. thats more likely to develop that quickly than the head.

    What do I do???

well, I'd say 1.5jz then. Do your research here theres some good material. If i had the money, id go with that combo. Im having trouble keeping up with my 189,000 mile gte though haha. School is to blame for that though so its okay.

    What do I do???

i say gte swap, but as for money n stress, no pain no gain bro. Power costs money regardless, you get what you pay for, and if it were that easy and cheap every 17 year old would have a 500hp mk3 and we'd get bored of them.
