bingo, the stock BOV port is too small. You're turbo is moving a lot more air, so that air needs a bigger hole to blow off from. and bigal, ya, it can support 500 hp pressure wise.. without leaking.. but it probably just cant handle the airflow that it takes to make 500hp.
I'm pretty sure BoostnLoose is right.. he needs a larger atmospheric BOV or a larger pre-turbo inlet. Not enough air is being evacuated.. I had this problem with my greddy type s.. then I got the HKS racing bypass valve.. no surge. Then I blew the diaphram on it.. and now I have no BOV and a...
thats very poor customer service, I'm with pimp.. that doesnt look like the right bolt to me at all. It had a bigger hole, and it didnt look that clean. lol.
I've run over 22 PSI on my SP61GT and 550s. I don't hit fuel cut. You need to try a different base setting and/or up the fuel pressure and re-tune to raise fuel cut. Don't listen to those who say ditch the MAFT, its a great tuning device I tune with MAFT alone and it works great for everything...
Thanks for chiming in, thats very true about the comma for the period. I completely forgot about that from spanish class. lol. You're absolutely right, the guy was not "USDM" judging by the gauge, and I cannot believe I didnt make the connection. Thanks a lot for the clarification!
just in case anyones been following this thread, it worked. I just need to make custom gauge face now. The mod to make the needle move faster is very effective and is in sync with my computer logging the A/F. I now have a stock looking widebnd A/f gauge.
cost: ~$3
okay, so I've decided I'm going to use the stock boost gauge, rewire it using this guide http://www.freewebs.com/supraboost/files/1bar%20boost%20gauge.doc I'm going make a custom gauge face and turn it into my wideband A/F gauge.
I have a question.. in this guide it says to use a "capacitor...
Hey guys and gals, I'm looking for help with my custom wideband gauge I'm gonna give a shot. Basically, I run a zeitronix wideband controller which has an analog output which can be used for hooking up compatable engine managment, and piggybacks (such as MAF Pro). The zeitronix is a wideband...
Thanks IJ, thats good to know!
Ross- Good luck buddy. Hopefully after this I'll never run into you on the side of the road, wether it be my car or yours.
are forged pistons all they're cracked up to be??...or is a setup with stockers and upgraded rods benefitial. (including other obvious components, arp hardware and bearings.. etc)
...I know I know.. it all depends on the goals. But how about for "modest" power levels like Ross is talking...
Thats very interesting, I didn't know that it wouldnt mess up the idle speed. I thought that there was a sensor in it which basically "told" the ISC valve when to open.
I guess now that I think about it, thats what the ECU water temp sensor is for.. which I guess the ECU then tells the ISC...
