i run the sbc-id.. its the same thing without the color. check out my review under boosts controllers on this forum. I love it and personlly wouldnt use anything else. I love its display and warning features.
i seriously doubt it. one major difference is the integrated HAC sensor in the 89+ ecu. I run MAFT, so thats one plus for the pre89 ecu, considering you must splice the harness for the HAC sensor. blah, now I'm rambling, but no, not worth it.
I guess.. If it were there and open. I think what you're looking at is a hard pipe to BoostedSupra's ISC valve. It does look misleading at first glance.
Cost. A boosted 3 liter, and the ease of running it off 1zj electronics. That was my main point, but true it wont give you any more power over the 2jz.
No, Its completely functional. With a bigger turbo you're sure to get compressor surge, so running two blow off valves moves more air, preventing it from backing up into the compressor wheel causing compressor surge (that flutter noise).
