Well, no, its not quite that easy.
You will need to do a few wire adaptions to the harness for the 2jz. The first thing you will need to do is get an accurate wiring diagram for the car that the harness/engine came out of and for the car that it is going into. Then you will have to connect the...

You had a link on the first page for the compression ratio thread I put on club na-t but it looks like the moved or deleted that thread for reasons that I do not know.
The same info is here on SM at the above link.
Yes, but you may have to find a different throttle cable because I think the stock 7m cable is too short. To get mine I just went to a junkyard and pulled one off of a car that had the right length.
Many throttle cables will fit, even from different brands like Nissan, etc.
From your post im getting the impression that you think that the throttle body is moved electronically?
The throttle body is moved with a throttle cable. The only electronic part is the sensor that tells the ECU what position the throttle body is in.
You need that input for the ECU.
If you...
Yeah - I did that but the problem was that the clear actually came up from underneath the car and got in the engine bay.
So I was just wondering if you had any tips on how to get off the overspray.
To clear off some of the overspray I got a stainless steel polishing kit from Harbor Freight. The kit comes with about 20 cotton bits to get in cracks and crevasses. I used some paint polishing compound and its coming along slowly but it looks good!
I took the sup out and did a 3rd gear pull...
POR15 makes a gas tank sealer that will encapsulate all of the loose shit on the tank walls by coating the inside of the tank. They have a cleaner that you use prior to the sealer....

Thanks for the kind words - I wish I would have taped off the bottom of the engine bay better though. I painted the engine bay first and then taped off the top when I sprayed the rest of the car. The clear got under and kind of hazed it up so I have to go through and buff out the clear overspray...
Thanks man. This is what I did:
Sanded down to toyota primer with 120 / 240
Filled any dimples or creased dents (body was good to start with though)
DP40 LF with 401 catalyst - Harbor Freight Purple gun with 1.3mm tip
K38 - Ching Chang Ebay Chow 1.7mm tip
Block sand and feather fill
K38 /...
Thanks Jay - Im using the HKS knockoff 50mm wastegate with the lightest spring. Once I get it on the interstate and log the run in 5th I think I will get a better picture of what it is actually boosting to.
I also need to detail all of the wetsanding junk left over from the cracks and...
Another thing to point out - with this huge turbo, one of the things that really kept me from making any progress was the oil drain line. First, I had a -10 line made at a local industrial hose supply store. It had some restrictions in the line and the turbo wouldnt drain fast enough so some oil...
After months of moving and construction on the new house, I finally got a chance to really take the car out and tune it a bit. Im running straight off of the turbo output pressure to the wastegate and the AEM logged 1.33 BAR at peak around 6000. It didnt level off though. Thats what I get for a...
If you want an inexpensive EGR blockoff plate, just cut out an aluminum plate to fit and sandwich it between the stock egr diverter plate and the head.
Also, dont forget to re-clock your wastegate flange approximately 90 degrees so that the output port points aft. You will never be able to get a dump tube on it or tie a tube back in the exhaust if you decide to in the future.
I guess that you could just let the wastegate dump right on your...
