Ok - studs are less likely to stip out your head because they dont apply a tensile force while twisting into the threads. They utilize the entire depth of thread to support the fastener.
Does that make you happy?
If its siezed with rust you could pour some wal-mart lubricant down each hole and let it sit for awhile. Just make sure it has drained out before you try to crank it or you will hydrolock it and bend the rods. If it wont drain you can just leave the spark plugs out when you crank it or try to...
That hose is a dealer part that costs about 20 bucks.
the tsrm website has an Electronic parts catalog that you can get part numbers from. Once you have a number run it through www.toyotapartscheap.com to see the price.
How do you know that? Did you measure out the block and head or are you going off of what somebody else said?
I think it would be a really bad idea to swap in turbo pistons but thats just me. The pistons that come with the GE block are already mated to the bore. There is no guarantee that...
Why would you run TT pistons? The only difference is a slight change in shape. The material is exactly the same. You will have to get a different head gasket to get the 1j head to work anyway, so just leave the GE block alone and get the appropriate head gasket for your 1j head.
If you had actually spent some time looking around and searching for information about a 2j swap you would realize how short-sighted these questions are. There are so many different variables that we cannot begin to answer your inquiry.
Do us all a favor and read some more about the topic...
I second that. The Q45 TB has such a thing. Of course, that is assuming that you havent disabled it by pulling the arm that it actuates off of the TB.
I removed mine because I didnt plan on running the coolant through the throttle body, and I didnt want ambient temperatures and heat soak to...
The wiring behind the headlight can corrode and short out. You can purchase a repair harness from the toyota dealer and wire it in to replace the plastic plug that goes to the back of your headlight. Ill bet that is your problem.
I didnt really think it was that difficult to build my own 2j harness for my GTE AEM install on a GE motor. I just traced out every line. Are you going standalone?
If not, I would solder the connections and use shrink tube on a portion of the harness that doesnt bend and flex. Be sure to...
