Uh, same does not equal better. It'd be more complicated to wire up for a small increase in fuel economy and the same power, with greater costs.

A buddy of mine has an older one (his dad used it in his 300ZX 10+ years ago) and it picks up any emergency vehicle as far as ~2mi out. It's bad ass, I'll have to get the name of it. Personally, I'm usually going too fast to slow down, or the speed limit, so I don't really need one.

A T56 would definitely be a lot cheaper than a V160. I don't know how much Richmond transmissions cost, but you can get a good used T56 for about a grand. V160s are between 3 and 4000, IIRC

NA MkIVs used W58s for the 5spds, IIRC. You should have no trouble finding a JZ bell housing for it. As said before, check clublexus for cheaper 2JZGEs I think AF1JZ was thinking you had a 7MGTE

I read the thread Andrew linked me to, it was especially convincing since that Ubershit filter came off my car.
