If the IGf circuit failed, but the rest of the igniter is still working he would have spark, but the ECU would think otherwise and kill the fuel. The only solid clue we have is the code 14, so it must be an IGf issue. Wiring for IGf is a possibility. The ECU fail seems like more of a longshot.

Code 14 is no IGf signal. That means the ECU is not seeing confirmation of spark. It will cut fuel when that happens to save the cat. The IGf is generated by the igniter. I would recommend replacing the igniter as it may have an internal issue either at the board or component level. I know...

These boards are not suitable for hand assembly, although a few will go together that way. They would need to be contract assembled in volume. Fortunately there a lot of places that can do that kind of stuff. I have all the chip components attached, now the fun 0.5mm pitch parts need to go on.

It quenches resonances in the fuel rail. I have not heard of anyone running into this issue with the 7M, but it is very common problem on the 1JZ when the pulsation damper is removed...

Try putting your fuel dampener back on to get rid of the lean spots.

Seems to me you have a metered air leak. Check that the throttle fully closes in the bore with foot off the gas.

Yup, that board uses 0.5mm pitch parts, and is really not very suitable for hand soldering. With the right tools and a microscope it can (will) be done though! The real cost of that board was the layout, which took alot of hours to put together.

To compute fuel mileage it needs the #10 injector signal, tach (IG-) signal, and speed sensor, plus a few powers and grounds. It does not have a fuel level input, you manually reset every time you fill the tank to reset the range computation. If you reset the change oil reminder, does it start...

Some people have reported new thermostats to be defective. I think jdub claims you need to test the new ones before installing. For me, I've never had a problem with a new one.
