I stand corrected, the other guy's problem was low compression in one cylinder due to a leaky valve.

Well that seems to be the grand finale to this thread! I looked at it briefly and it seems to overlap with the TEWD pretty closely. Cygnusx1 is accessible again. http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TEWD/MK3/
If you are getting 25 and 26 together, and its a California spec car, then it can mean the engine rpm is varying too much between cylinder firings at idle. Its a very crude attempt at misfire detection that was added only to CA spec cars. Another cause of 25+26 is the ox sensor cycling too...
I was never able to get my sensor out. I imagine it could have been drilled out but I didn't want to destroy it. I live in California too, so rust is not a big deal here, still its not coming out.
I'm a bit confused about your connector comment. Are you thinking the connector is rusted away...
It's very hard to gauge someone's intent over the internet when you just have a few sentences to go by. Thanks for clarifying.
The standard TEWD does have detailed connector info including location, pinout, and wiring diagrams in the case of junction blocks. Does EWD104F go beyond that? The...
It will work in the reader. You will need to change the crystal to 16 MHz, and the ROM space starts at 0xC000 instead of 0xD000 so you need to change the start address of the reader software.
You should join the 3S-GTE ECU Disassembly space on Assembla. There are already some ROMs yanked from...
Well here's something you don't see everyday, a 7M ECU with a micro usb connector. So far so good, basic functionality checks out, now need to see if we can run the ECU from it.
I wish him good luck too. I also think common courtesy would be to thank someone for responding to their question, even if it's not what they were looking for.
With a type L injection system there is no possibility of motor damage. Consider that the throttle plate is most of the time the biggest obstruction in the intake system.
You have made an assumption that you are "adding more air". My point is that there is no data to support that any of these...
I guess I wasn't clear, but I think he got it anyway. There is no difference in rev limit between A/T and M/T ECUs. After all, the tranny has nothing to do with the max safe engine speed.
The only rev limit difference between ECUs is for the 6M vs 7M crank. He has the 6M ECU, so he already has...
Rev limit is set by the engine, not the tranny so they are both the same. If you want to increase it, you need to find one from a car with the 6M crank, unless that's what you already have!
Although the grease is a pain, it is pretty much idiot proof. The plastic can get you into trouble if the wrong plastic is used, or if the humidity is not managed inside the bag. Standard plastic bags and such are often porous to water vapor, and a desiccant along with a humidity sensor tag is...
I've forgotten the details too. I think it is a wire bent in a c-shape that can be grabbed with pliers. Try pushing the fabric inwards to expose the knob shank. I think it is obvious once you can see it.
