Going with large core or small core 272's? Even the large core 272's were revved over 8,000rpms on the stock valvetrain. I upgraded to the Crower 2JZ springs which are rated to 9,000rpms, but I suspect they can go higher.

K26 kit maxes at like, 630whp ish? Zazzn said at 18PSI he made 480whp. I have a 2JZ bottom end, so I hope to break 500whp at 18PSI. Maxes out near 30PSI I believe. 630ish whp was made on the Blitz K-26 manifold. The Sard manifold is a better design, and should yield more max HP.

Rods are significantly smaller, as well as the rings and ringlands. Those high HP VVTi setups don't use stock bottom ends. There's nothing wrong with it sub 400rwhp. That's the point when all the IS300 guys start to worry, because that's what dyno/street time beyond that level has proven...

Check the wiring again, and make sure the FCD is set to the right number. Also ensure it's a Type K.

Champion C63YC (#796) FTW. Iridiums and long hard pulls don't like each other. I do believe that sub 500rwhp levels are fine for Iridiums, just get a step colder. Copper displaces heat better. Sure, you have to change them out every other oil change, but they work the best IMO.

Just stroke the 1JZ. They make a kit, I saw a few on Ebay. Seems new and should work. I think it was called a 2JZ-GE.
