The bore of the block's cylinders will depend on how little you can get away with to get trued round holes. You don't want to take any more than is minimally necessary. The thickness of the gasket used depends on how much has been taken off the block and head respectively. After measuring both...
I'd replace the Iscv and go from there. If the tps specs out good, there aren't that many places to keep looking after that. Pirate air and vacuum leaks come to mind, but if the idle speed valve doesn't work, the ecu keeps "hunting" for a correct idle. So hopefully that will solve your problem. gl.
I'd get the afpr if I were you. I'm running basically the same mods with the only difference being a Denso MKIV fp. My af ratio numbers are pretty good (in the low 12's under boost). I'm not sure what "tuning" you can do with a stock ecu, as per Sprmcy, but I'd sure like to learn about that...
I have Ross pistons and a Titan mhg on my 7M. When I broke it in, I ran single wt. 30 dino. I took it on the highway late at night and just ran up and down through the gears to about 4k rpm. Got lots of vacuum pulls from 4th down, then back up again for about an hour, little to no boost. Then I...
Thanks Jdub. Time to get the measurements and see if it was previously cut. Don't know the history of this particular head, except it has been pressure tested and checked for straitness/hardness. Hopefully it'll be all good to go. Then it's back to the die grinder and get busy.
I should know this, but is there any difference between n/a and turbo heads (apart from casting revisions and the intake cam)? Reason being, I'm rebuilding another 7M, and I have a good condition n/a head, I was wanting to use (with my turbo cams)...are the valves the same composition and size...
Talk to Jeff. He's the man.

Dude, you might want to search up all you can on these types of things before undertaking them. Knowledge is power. As far as the head goes, maybe this time get someone with experience to guide you through it. At the very least, check the head for hardness and warping, and maybe a pressure test...
Got 17K into it so far. Needs another 10K at least. Hey at least I can get maybe 8K back if I ever sell it! No wonder I'm not a financial advisor! :3d_frown: But hey, it's a Supra, and I am unfortunately (or fortunately), addicted. At least the engine's rebuilt, and it has suspension, a good...
I went back to get my provincial diploma when I was almost 40. (Canada)Community college was hard, but fun. Go to one of your local community colleges and find out the prerequisites for obtaining the required credits for army service. Get student loans and go for it. In a year or 2 you can get...
Try cleaning the male and female side of the plug with contact cleaner, check the integrity of the wires as well. Pull your efi fuse for a min to two. See if that solves, if not re check codes, and perhaps try a different afm. gl.
Is that a leprechaun or a "wish from Santa"..?
either way I think Ian is saying that's a pipe dream, bro. I'd listen to him, he knows muchie about this chit.
