    MKIII - Bodywork Question...

You can always wait to find a good "southern" car that's been totalled in front. The rear quarters can be cut and shipped...I've got a good body man to repair mine just with metal being welded in. Most shops won't do rust repair anymore, they just want insurance jobs on new cars.. more $$ for...

    HKS 3000pipe

Well, it depends somewhat on your intercooler and tb. If you are going to all the trouble of hardpipes, I'd get a decent aftermarket intercooler. As far as size goes, I ran 3" on mine, but had a ffim with a bigger tb on it. gl.

    HKS 3000pipe

Aside from the bling factor, I've never seen any verifiable performance gains just from that. As it's used alot in conjunction with bigger "hardpipes" all the way through, I'd go with that system. That's proven to be a good improvement by several members. gl.

    MKIII - Bodywork Question...

I was quoted a min. of 16 hrs to repair my rusty rear quarters...thats just with new metal being welded in, no replacement panels. So, $1200.00 Canadian just for that. Paint and body was quoted at 6k minimum. That's without my turbo-A duct being installed, and shaving the washer nozzles, etc. gl.

    cam bolt sequence

I'll refer you to the bible: this is your friend, online, too! http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=EM&P=41 oops, MKIII man beat me to it... gl.

    Emergency brake shoes and springs

The rear rotors both have the parking brake shoes. I bought non dealer shoes for cheap. They looked like they would'nt last 5 mins, but they seem to be ok. gl.

i need help. car wont rev

Throttle position sensor and knock sensor. A search on knock sensor rewire is a good place to start, and the tps test can be straitforward if you are handy with electrical. I'll refer you to the bible: http://www.cygnusx1.net/Supra/Library/TSRM/MK3/manual.aspx?S=FI&P=28 efi system pages...

Code 12 - no rpm signal

Ok, thanks. will do. Does this code hamper performance?

Code 12 - no rpm signal

Hi all, I keep getting a recurring code 12, "no ne of g signal to ECU within 2 seconds after engine has been cranked". Unfortunately, this is all Borg to me. "Trouble areas: cps, cps circuit, starter signal circuit, ECU". The car seems to run okay, but sometimes it takes up to 3 seconds for...

    Loose Gas Pedal?

If the cable tighten didn't fix it, then your linkage is probably fubared. Get someone to cycle it with the hood open and check the play on the linkage. It should be pretty easy to trace the problem as there isn't that much to it. If there isn't any slop in the linkage, check the spring etc. gl.

    TbcMorris' post fire CT build

I'm very sorry to hear that your car was stolen again. Damn, man, I hope those bastards get what they deserve for doing that. Lowlifes. gl with your sales. Hopefully someday you can build another Soup and it'll stay in your yard when you're not driving it!

    Steve's mildly out-of-control build

I'm waiting on delivery of my Boss turbo, I too am looking for approx. 450 to the wheels in a nice streetable package. Nice looking parts and car there! gl with your goals. I'll quote Greg's answer on the Boss turbo: The Jr. is .58 AR and the Boss Sr. is .83 AR You can reach me on the...

I was just given a Supra...now what? Now with pics!

Looks like a good candidate for an engine/turbo swap. I'd sell it to someone who wants to revive it. I ddrove my n/a and kept my '90T for a project. Unfortunately, I had to sell my n/a as I ended up in a place with only one parking spot. Now I'm down to one pit.

    TPS differences turbo and na??

I'll quote Jeff Lange on the tps's as he was kind enough to straiten it all out: While there are only 2 different types of TPS used on the MA70, they were not always the same between N/A and GTE, and they did not change for the 89 model. 89452-28030 = 86.5 - early 87 7M-GE and 87 - early...

HELPP! BAD misfire and going WAY lean at idle.

Mine was running lean all of a sudden, and it was the power steering idle up connector/hose that was broken. Once I fixed that, my a/f's went back to normal. I'd address that asap, hopefully that's the golden ticket! I don't know if the pump itself pulls the vac or not, but if it did that after...

    crank shaft pulley removal problem

If it's on the engine stand, take the pan off, wedge a 2x4 inbetween the crank and side, and counter clockwise the pulley bolt with a breaker bar and impact socket. I used my dash brace as a lever for mine, was a piece of cake. gl.

    Tookwik's c.o.p. mod

I want to do Tookwik's c.o.p. mod, and I was wondering who is running it now, and if anyone has an extended harness for sale. I have the other components, but I pretty much suck at wiring, so I need the extended piece with the coil plugs and engine harness plug. Or if someone has done this and...

    Problems replacing my LSD

I've never experienced this for myself, Jay, but I read about a similar case (on here, I'm sure). The solution was to cut an opening across/ or underneath the offending nut and reweld it to be captive again. Sorry to hear about the trouble, sounds like a drag. I'm not looking forward to sorting...

    yay or nay?

There is a white '92 and a black '90 in the buy & sell in the lower mainland...I'd look at several before purchasing...maybe a cherry one with a bad motor will come along for cheap... gl.

Thanks, Jeff. I stand corrected. Sorry for the bad info, Seth.
