    used jdm engines?

I've bought 3 JDM engines in the past from three different vendors; ranging from $750 to $1350 ea. One was trash, one was missing a turbo, and the last had a few bent valves. With machine work, gaskets and replacement parts; your looking at $2500+. Unless your current engine is an anchor, I...

Interior color change: Where can I source black seat belts?

I did not know this. Do you have a link to any companies that provide this service?

Interior color change: Where can I source black seat belts?

I'm pretty much done with my interior color change. Now the problem is that I still have Oxblood seatbelts in the front. I pulled the rear belts since I can't see anyone fitting back there anyways. I've looked into the option of dyeing them, but I haven't found anywhere that endorses this due...

    simple question...someone must know..

How important is it to re-install these from a safety perspective? I'm not a particularly heavy guy, will the seat mounts snap in an accident without these?

Mishimoto Now Sells a Silcone Heater Hose Kit!

I just received the black upper and lower last week. They appear to be very similar to my Samco hoses (even have the blue silicone inner layer, or maybe it's rubber; I don't know). The only reason I ordered the set is because I have the 1J Samco hoses and the lower just won't sit right with my...

    VPC Install

Wait a minute; I'm fairly certain the VPC's PnP main harness already has that resistor in place.

    VPC Install

Isn't the yellow VPC wire the air pessure input from the VPC's pressure sensor? So if you wire the SAFC into the yellow wire, then you a basically wiring the SAFC into the pressure sensor, having the SAFC clean up the pressure sensor signal before the VPC converts it to Karmen. I'm certain...

    Options other then Dynamat?

Not sure which panels you are referring to, but all interior panels are extrememly easy to remove; except for maybe the dash, which is more time consuming then anything. It shouldn't be a problem to remove panels at a later time if need be. As far as coating used, this what I've been having...

    Options other then Dynamat?

All depends on your budget and just how much of your car you are trying to deaden. I bought a little too much myself (8 gallons) and am left with around 2.5 gallons unused. And that's with deadening the engine bay, firewall, undercarriage, gas tank, floor pans, inner and outer wheel wells, hatch...

    Options other then Dynamat?

Give liquid deadeners a try. http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?t=98641 Second Skin makes a good product. I wouldn't worry about your vehicle being too quiet, but if you're really concerned; just sound deaden one side of the panel instead of both. I'd use a minimum of 3 coats tho.

Yeah, we just ran out of vinyl gloves and she didn't feel like wearing any of my greasy garage work gloves. She's not afraid of getting a little dirty.

My Orion components don't have separate crossovers. The 6S just have one big VHS tape looking crossover. I'll have to mount it in the trunk, because there's no way that things going to squeeze into a kick or door panel.

    Operation "Can't hear shit" *Pics*

I was originally planning on doing just that, but the wire is so thick that it had to be fed through with the other wires already in. It was a very very tight squeeze. Not to mention I cut the f*ck out of my hand on a sharp edge in the door and just said "screw it" and cut the boots. I don't see...

Oh yeah, and a pic of the gorgeous helper. *We had drinks after a long day of work:naughty:* I had to pull the trigger and propose to her. We are officially married; going 3 weeks now. The diamond solitare I found in the Supra wasn't going to cut it for this girl, so I had to dig deep...

    Operation "Can't hear shit" *Pics*

Just making an update. Weather finally got nice so I took advantage by painting more panels and sound deadening the trunk area and doors. I also decided to do the wiring of the VPC, SAFC2 and Zeitronix as well as pull them wires in for the WB o2 and EVC. I pulled wires for the stereo and...

In what order do I wire a VPC, EVC, SAFC2 and Zeitronics wideband?

That did the trick. And for anyone who references this thread, the VPC airflow output wire is grey on the PnP harness. The SAFC2's input wire is orange and output is pink. For everyone without the VPC main PnP harness, the TCCS MAF wire is green/red and is wire KS on the factory harness.

Before you buy subwoofers or amps read this if your a noob to audio

As previoulsy mentioned several times in earlier posts, you can't judge a book by its cover. Subs for instance can use different magnets. One with Neodymium magnets will have a much smaller basket then one that doesn't. And Neodymium magnets are very powerful. The OP mentioned looking at the...
