Oh OK. Unfortunately Florida can be only 6 hours from us, or 15+ depending on where you are going... Either way it isn't really a short drive, especially for a car show...
I know right. And when I see one I usually freak out and contemplate turning around and chasing them, but I haven't gotten...
Nice. My favorite is actually the VW/Audi dealer here. I've dropped friends off there or picked them up a couple of times and everytime a salesman comes out and asks if it is a Supra, and then asks if it has been restored or is original. I always tell them it is original because it is and his...
For the ebrake just use the TSRM, and I'm sure you know, but we have discs in the back with a drum type set up inside the disc for the ebrake sorta. Also, the ebrake shoes are really thin new, so just because they may look worn, they may not be, unless there is no material left on them at all...
Welcome back. I wasn't around when you were a while ago, but I do remember seeing your posts when I would go through an old thread. I would love to see pics of your old supra and the new one if you have any.
Unfortunatley for me it would be your drive plus another 4-5 hours... Not much of a Supra scene in Alabama, just a lot of broken ones and horrible attempts to put V8's in them...
Maybe I will have to take a look at the inside part of mirror some time. I know I have tried tightening the bolts on the inside of the door and the screw underneath but that didn't do anything.
I have a W58 manual and I have noticed that the shifter is alot tighter when it is in neutral and...
Is this mount attached to the body colored part of the mirror or is it possible to replace it without replacing the body of the mirror? My drivers side mirror shakes a little at higher speeds and does sometimes too if I have the radio turned up. I know I have a hairline crack in the mirror where...
Some small things I've done:
Factory Replacement:
Hood/hatch struts
Hatch bump stops
Steering knuckle stops (got rid of the annoying creaking noise when turning at full lock)
New wiper blades
New inner mirror triangle cap things
Aftermarket Stuff:
Redline Leather shift boot, e-brake boot, and...
That's something I may do as well now that I heard that the TEMS shocks are going to back in production. I will definitely be interested and paying attention to see exactly how you do this
I think it's 91+ has thicker sway bars at the rear. The energy suspension bushings for our cars are made for the thicker sway bars found on the newer MK3's, Im 99% sure the front bars stayed the same for all years. I know that the energy suspension bushings did not fit the rear sway bar on my 87...
This is exactly what I was thinking. Several years ago my dad bought a new Nissan and it came with "free pinstriping". Just another thing to make that dealer look a little better than the other. Probably what happened to that Supra with the red stripe.
Probably a dealer option, if it is in fact stock. A lot of dealer's add pin stripes to their cars. Was he the original owner, or does he know the original owner? He could also just be saying that and doesn't truly know.
Nice. The supra's body looks really straight, and the paint looks good too. The bumpers might be a little faded, but that's common, mine are too. I like the lexus too. It looks clean as well, especially for 246k miles. It just proves that Toyotas/Lexus will run for forever if maintained.
Welcome!
If it is out of fluid it probably needs to be replaced because that means it is leaking somewhere. That's how mine was when I got the car. Mine was leaking on the inside of the firewall. I got my master and slave for really cheap from autozone and oriellys, but if I were to do it again...
Cool. I figured you were from the states. That's a pretty good way to think about it. Thanks for your service also!

I think this is what you are looking for.
Yeah I know what you mean. I've scraped my factory lip around here a couple times also and it isn't fun at all. It's just an awful feeling and noise. I can't decide if I want to replace the springs or just stick with the factory ones, but I think mine are sagging a little on the driver side...
I got back today from a 500 mile round trip in the Supra. All interstate, about 70 mph the whole time with the AC on the whole time as well. I got 25.1 MPG. I was impressed. Especially considering it is a 27 year old car and runs almost 3500 rpms on the interstate. I think the original sticker...
The car looks clean, nice find. Is it weird driving on the other side of the road? I'm assuming you are from the US originally?
I think Australian and maybe European models didn't get them either.
Probably, I don't understand why we don't use the metric system, it's so much easier. Didn't...
