The GM 3 bar reads 0psi as 1.8v and the Denso sensor reads it as 2.6v. Both sensors read 0-5v sure, but on completely different scales. The ECU will be adjusting timing/spark/fuel based on completely wrong information.
As many have said, 22r(e) engines are unstoppable. I had a 4runner with 223k on the clock, all original.
I've heard the Nissan Pickup 4banger is just as tough.
Also older Camry engines, I have a 261k 2se engine that doesn't leak a drop and I daily drive getting 31mpg. The newer 1mz is also...
I used to live in Coventry and everyone that lives there knows that auto place is sketchy as hell. Most of the time the car's history is nowhere near as clean as they pretend they are.
So buyers beware.
First off, I believe the 1jz map reads more than 1 bar of vacuum. Under actual testing it appears to come out as going up to 1.2 bar of boost or 17.5psi.

You need to find a sensor that can match those specs but with a wider range if you...
It will work. Toyota changed the color of almost all the body plugs to gray mid 89, but generally it had no effect on the parts. The igniter is the same across all years for the turbo car.
You know you could just pull all the motors out of the seat and weld/bolt the adjuster into position. That's what we did when we put the supra seats in the pickup truck.
The 89+ rear subframe has two additional cross pieces for reinforcement. I'm sure there's a picture of the difference around somewhere...
I suppose you could argue the engine mount thing either way, but in theory it should transfer less vibration, and that has been my experience.
Most of the...
The cup holder argument is invalid in my opinion. The center console cupholder is completely useless, especially if you have a 5spd.
In favor of the 89+, the forward facing rear speaker mounts greatly improve the sound system options/quality, as do the 6" front speaker cups in the 91-92...
I run Intrax springs. They do drop the rear just slightly too much IMO, a little higher and I could actually fix my camber. No problems with rubbing on the bumps though. I've got them with KYB GR2's. They aren't noticeably stiffer than Eibachs. I can't say that the car handles very well with...
I've had tokico blues with stock springs, they handled great, until all 4 blew out in 5000 miles. Sure they have a lifetime warranty, but what do you do while you're waiting for tokico to decide to replace them?
I've had tokico illumina 2's with eibach springs, by far the best combo i've had...
