How in the heck do you remove the AC compressor from the 1j when it's in the car?
I pulled everything off it but it's stuck on a stud going into the engine block. There isn't enough clearance from the frame rail to pull it off the stud. I don't really seem to have enough room to get anything...
Compression is lower, injectors are bigger, cams are different, lots things that will make the car slow as hell if you just 'take the turbo off.'
CT-26 turbo's are actually relatively easy to find. I notice you live in Tampa as well, there are alot of supra owners in your area who can help...
I'm not sure I like it myself, which is why I didn't already buy it. It might look good on a red or black car...or it might look like a bad Ferrari knockoff.
89 Was a bad year for wiring. I swear Toyota just used whatever they had for connectors in those cars.
All I can tell you is that harness is jacked up, none of those connectors besides the big square B1 match anything from 86 to 92. Also, be careful before you cut the ends off and try to...
Only way to 'check' the ECU is to pop open the covers and look at the caps to see if any are leaking, sometimes they'll have black spots, and sometimes white corrosion. Just because they don't look bad though doesn't mean they aren't.
If you have a bad ECU you can send it to Driftmotion to...
Or less...:naughty:
However, there were quite a few undisclosed problems with the car. It was far from what I would call 'clean.' It's taking me a while, but it will be clean when I'm done.
Ehh I don't think either of them should have been parted in the first place. Both were exceptional cars.
Bryan where did that maroon chassis go anyhow?
