okay are you talking about the banjo bolt that bolts onto the back of the head? where the heater hoses connect into.

test fuel pressure.. dont deny it, must be completely positive of your fuel pressure to continue..

so far the famous thing to do is have someone move the wiring to the cps around while someone cranks the car over. for some reason the wiring to the cps goes bad very often.

hmmmmmm did you see any pitting on the oil side of your block or head? you may have an oil side bhg if it smokes that badly from a piston rebuild.

since thats eliminated now we need spark to ignite that fuel and you are correct, my bad, XD its impossible to be 180 off if you go by the notches.

check to see if you have a faulty crank position sensor, maybe it isnt getting the signal to spark and thus there will be fuel on the plugs unburned
