When you throw that code on a 1jz its usually either a wiring problem between the ECU and the ignitor or the ECU itself is bad. Its also possible your ignitor is bad, but they rarely go bad. Check your connections from the ECU and ignitor, and open up the ECU and check for bad caps; even though...
The supra ECU only works with the supra harness. If the 1jz harness you get is from a Soarer you would also need a Soarer ecu, they have different connectors on them.
Yes you will be able to use the 2jzge motor mounts, AC, and PS stuff. It's all pretty much a bolt on affair. Couldn't tell you for sure on the transmission mount, but I suspect they might be different.
As far as the harness goes, I believe that the SC stock harness is a bit longer than the mk3...
All the JZ power steering pumps can be swapped around. You may have to unbolt fittings and swap them from one to the other but that's about it. I have run both 2jz-gte and 2jz-ge pumps on a 1jz.
It completely depends on how the shop wired the harness where the wires might be. I could tell you where they are in the glovebox, but from there out the shop could have wired them to anything. Also is the 1jz harness originally auto? If so, the wires are there but they are on a different plug...
Yes, all you have to do is cut and solder and swap the plugs around. Some of the wires go to different plugs etc so get the diagrams for both 87 and 90 and compare them carefully.
#2 - The plugs on the 1jz harness to plug into the body will be totally different than the '87 body plugs. On a '90+ year car, only one plug is the same. There is documentation on the wiring, but many of the sites that have hosted it have disappeared. Hopefully this link will work for you...
The biggest issue is the 7m is waste spark and the 1jz isn't. So in order to fire the coils at the right times you'd have to connect two 1jz leads to each 7m coil pack. I don't recommend this.
Check that white wire to the positive terminal, the one that doesn't go to the starter. That tends to cut all power to the car when it falls off. Also double check the connections on the black cabin power leads from the alternator.
It sounds like something important is loose somewhere.
You can pull the stud with a reverse torx socket. Then you just bolt it on and put the stud back in. Also, the lines will hit the bottom of the power steering pump bracket, you can wedge it in there, but grinding the bracket down a little will make it fit better.
That's actually the idle up valve. It has no effect on the PPS. You can run without one, I did for years. As far as if they are identical I couldn't say.
I managed to get the number 297-8772 (29SUPRA) a while back. I also have a couple of invites, PM me your email supra90turbo.
I haven't had a chance to use this service too much, but it seems to work pretty well. The voice mail transcribe sometimes gives some funny results.
To use the maxima pressure line, you need a banjo bolt. The bolt goes through the fitting on the PS line and threads into the port on your 2nd picture.
