i have the chance to get a soarer 1J auto engine set for 1k ecu, ignitor, turbo's. now, besides needing the fuse box wiring and the dash wiring and going to keep the car auto anyways anyone think this is a good deal? or should i ditch the auto and order a bellhousing for my manual car? both...

ahh, well i plan on getting a half cut neways, and it really should all be just plug n play? now i was just browsing the supraforums archives and found this, that the chaser controlls it all but the jdm supra's the auto ecu was seperate??

i looked over the site, and have that wiring diagram, and untill i get a auto 1j here, i guess i could figure it out. but was hoping some one had some sort of a write up on doing a 1j auto. if any one has this i would greatly appreciate it.

i didnt know that thanks for the info what i have found out is that there is about 3-4 wires that need done, and to disconnect the MA70 auto ecu and it's the wiring up im looking for. i have tried many google searches and search here turned up nothing as well.

i ckd that thread nothing on wiring up an auto tranny maybe i over looked it?

hey all, i have looked but really no look, I am concidering a 1J swap into a na/auto i have. and would like to go ahead and use an auto tranny behind it, all i can find out is that you can swap the tail shaft off the 7m auto tranny for tranny mount, but can't find out anything on wiring it up...

use painters tape to tape off what not want painted, prep work as they stated before and if uising a rattle can for the paint make sure it is high temp engine paint and use a good coat of high temp primer first. should turn out fine for you.

keep the DD, and buy the Supra, and fix it up, im in the process of fixing the "daily driver" Supra, keeping miles and wear/tear off the Tundra THEN i can begin to redo my other Supra for a 1j, repaint etc etc etc.

sure it can be, dont have to do it all at once. i got a 87 for 400.00 bad motor, needs paint and dash/door panels. re sealed another motor and gonna drop it in, repaint in summer, will be a nice daily driver (keep miles off the Tundra) just take your time btw, do you have another car?

what ds are the posters using? i was reluctant to use a jawgears ds because it's mentiond that can not guarantee about vibrations. input and sorry to hijack.

lip not tucked in on the rear main seal? i know this was old, i was just re reading it
