Update: So I took my car to h20 in O.C maryland and it runs awesome....I beat on some vdubs lol. Car made 405whp and 365wtq @ 18 psi. The car sounds awesome, and runs real smooth. I eventually plan to switch my stinger out for an AEM and go for 24-25psi. It drew a lot of attention people...
So as of now my car is at the shop waiting to get the fmic on and a tune. I was hoping that I could get on my widebody kit and new rims and tires before the H20 meet in Maryland but it doesn't seem like thats going to happen. So my question is, my car right now is sitting on some 225's...
Here's a little update. Just some progress. Its starting to look really good. Take a look at the dump tube...makes it look like an extra cylinder haha lol. And the downpipe fits right in there perfectly. Its coming together very well.
just one pic sorry guys, ill have more soon.
yea Im going to run just a screen for the turbo. At the placement its at It'll be hard for something to fly up into it.
And I am curious to see how they will do the dp. It should be interesting. It will definitely be a close fit.
Thank Emillian. But yea pretty much for the reason the V-band flows a lot better. They had a lot of issues trying to get the 6 pipes to a single collector...they are very accustomed to a 4 to 1 vband cause they do a lot of 4 cylinder hondas. Idk if i have seen a six to one V-band on a supra...
hahah Think theres enough clearance with the fans. that would be annoying if it did lol.
and thanks for the suggestions. I think I'll go to the shop and talk to them about possible support locations.
Heres the link to my "build" i guess. Has some more info on my car...
Yea that works. haha thanks man.
And they plan on running the dp under then inlet pipe of the exhaust housing then under the manifold, its gonna have some serious bend to it lol. And yep its one of them billet wheel precisions.
So finally after a large amount of trial and error, the shop finally managed to get the 6 to 1 V-band to shape into what seems to be its final design. Took a while lol but it was well worth the wait and the craftsmanship and custom work put into is really impressive. It's not completely done...
haha....My dad convinced to just buy the MTR one. Even though its expensive as fuck. There was one that I saw on suprastore.com but it says it has a 38mm flange for the waste-gate and I'm trying to go 50. It looks pretty quality...says its 2.6mm thick, TIG welded, 250 bucks. Here's the link...
Im gonna buy it. I might as well try it. I doubt any cracking will happen *knock on wood*. I plan on reinforcing it anyhow. I just think it'll save me a ton of money...1k for a mani kinda sets me back lol.
thanks for the input dylan ;P
Hey guys. So Ive been looking around for a exhaust manifold and for a while I've been set on buying it from MTR. Even though 1k is expensive...but just recently I have found what seems to be a decent manifold. A little bit thicker than normal and seems pretty nice. I was wondering if any of...
