You'll soon know if you have a BHG - you'll start getting pressurizing in the cooling system (water spurting into the header tank), and often coolant loss and white smoke out of the exhaust ! I wouldn't bother doing any of those tests UNLESS you suspect you have a BHG.

This SHOULD be a very straightforward swap, as the two engines are VERY similar (unlike the turbo versions), plus the N/A Mk4 also uses a W58 gearbox, so bellhousings are readily available cheaply.

It looks like N/A Clutches are the same on the Mk3 and Mk4 . . . . but I wonder if anyone can tell me if the FLYWHEEL from my 7M-GE...

Don't you have many Mk4 Supras with 2JZ-GE engines in the USA? They're the easiest engine to swap as being from a Supra nearly everything is the same (including correct W58 bellhousing)

I know both the Turbo engines have very different ignition circuits, but I'm hoping that as my engine is a 7M-GE and I'm fitting a 2JZ-GE that the Tacho will work without modification (one person has confirmed that - can anyone else?)
