Nice kill, i hate chargers, maybe because they pull me over since thats all cops around here drive anymore. Either way, i cant wait to doa couple mods and to the flashlight flats around here, i hear its all about bragging rights.
Sweet, well if i can another member to second that motion then maybe i'll go that route. i can get the safc and BC pretty cheap, not sure about a wideband. The HG will be done before i touch boost, i'm sure of that.
Again, thank you. My roommate from experience thinks he can do a rear end, whether he meant the whole pumpkin or not is unsure but i think we can manage to do it as long as the new pumpkin will bolt into my chassis and everything without other new parts. I'll ask about that Turbo A, thats a good...
I was thinking about doing this mod (550, lexus afm, walbro), when i do my HG. Might as well since i'll have the head off and more room to work with. I would be keeping the stock turbo, boost controlled to maybe 8 or 9lbs. That with hard IC piping and a full 3", i'd like to be close to 300.
thank you IJ. So is it safe for me to tell the kid that there is no 'J-Spec CT26'?
does anyone know if the lsd rear end will go into my manual being that it came from an auto, any major differences?
As some of you know from my other posts, i'm planning on buying two mk3 part cars next week. one is an 86.5 N/A Auto, the other is an 89 Turbo Auto. Yes mine is a 5-speed but i'm sure i can get some good suff off these cars, like the HKS style 3" Dp back exhaust, gauge pillar with autometer...
dude im getting a new ct26 next week and now you have me scared to look at my 200k turbo. that looks rough as hell. Does anyone know anything anout a J-Spec ct-26? Kid claims his turbo was bought directly from japan and shipped here, are the turbo's from the japanese cars better, should i put it...
im getting the walbro in a parts car deal, never been installed, new in box. i have no problem getting a hose for it, but the drill out or bypass might get me. i'll have to look up how to do it i guess.
this is very true, i was just getting a test pipe because the parts car im buying has that setup on there already. dont worry guys, im over in PA so you wont be driving behind me.
im buying a supra parts car, 89 with 7MGTE and like 101k original miles, engine cranks but the lack of a working fuel pump is why it wont start. im thinking about taking the head off that and see which one is better and use the better one on my current car.
hey guys how much work or no work is involved with installing a walbro 255. i don't mean how to install it, but will i need anything else to go with it, FPR, new lines, fuel filter, anything?
110 is all i felt safe doing, i used 4th to pull me to about 90 and then 5th to push me to that, i think i could get a good 125 out of it but not with that suspension. also, i have 245/50/18 tires on the rear so i'm sure my speedo was way off.
Would someone be so kind as to tell me everything that i need or should replace while doing a HG.
-HG
-ARP Head Studs
-Valve Cover gasket
-Timing Belt
-Water Pump
i know there's more, a little help please...
