    CT-26 Burns Oil when revved

Thanks to anyone that helped with my last problem. Now, my cars idle has gotten better and it seems to run ok now. If you don't know, i just did my BHG job and i'm almost 100% A-OK. I tried driving it today around the block and it has little power past 2500 rpms. Once i hit 3500 i shifted to...

Post HG Repair / Not 100%

Do i seriously only need like a paper clip to check, i know where the relay is under the hood and the idea behind it, but do i seriously just stick a paper clip into the two holes and then count the check engine light for code numbers?

Post HG Repair / Not 100%

I watched the exhaust manifold when it was doing it, no drips or visible leaks. It was smoking from the seal/gasket area and the entire manifold itself, not like only in one spot. I just drove it around the block actually, the idle issue came and went all on its on, so it probably is just a...

Post HG Repair / Not 100%

It's only been ran for lets say,...2-3 minutes in total. In your opinion, since the car runs, i'm not getting tailpipe smoke, timing belt and timing is good, and fluids are all full and seem kosher, should i just let the car run and assume the idle is due to vacuum/or other similar minor...

Post HG Repair / Not 100%

Yes i did the BHG repair, i drained the radiator and water neck but not any coolant that was still in the block. Also, have changed the oil twice, and i haven't even driven it yet, just let it run, or attempt to. I'm going to go get all new hose clamps and double check the vacuum lines...

    gte to ge

Someone else would know better than i would about this but; Would you also benefit if you re-routed the intake piping to eliminate the Intercooler, just go filter, afm, then pipe to throttle body?

Post HG Repair / Not 100%

First off, to start it, i need to give it some throttle or it will never start. Once it does, idle is ok and all seems well. About 45-60 seconds later, the idle will start to lower(400-500) and almost stall but will usually catch itself. Around this same time, my exhaust manifold will start...

    Turbo Oil Line Nuts... WTF!?

No it is not budging at all, i do mean ZERO oil pressure, i know usually when i start up it'll be at like 20 or so, mid way below 40 and above 0. Now i have nothing on the gauge. I made sure the oil level was good before every start up, i had a gallon jug that i ended up using all of. I'll have...

    Turbo Oil Line Nuts... WTF!?

I've been cautious to that, ive only put the nut on and spun it maybe 4 rotations, i can't even get it to the point of resistance yet, when i did manage to get a socket/ratchet on it, i have to use my other hand to click the ratchet back, that nut isn't even touching the flange yet i dont think...

    Turbo Oil Line Nuts... WTF!?

Well, if i cant find any other valid suggestion it looks like i will have to. To be clear on this, you are saying to unbolt turbo from downpipe(i dont have a heavy elbow anymore), then unbolt it from the manifold, disconnect the turbo to IC pipe, and then remove the banjo bolt from the block...

    Turbo Oil Line Nuts... WTF!?

I just spent the last 2 weeks doing a HG job by myself, out on the street in front of my house. I finish it(i think) and attempt to start it for the first time, on the second turn of the car she starts and i feel better already, then i look at my gauges and my oil pressure is around ZERO, i...

$150 bet for me to run 13.5, need advice

Do you have a MHG? If so, pick up some 550cc injectors, an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and a lexus AFM w/ adjustable screw. Then attend a test and tune at the track, work on that 14psi tuning and you should be around 13.5 or better.

    BHG Question

Ok thank you for your suggestions and insight. Pogo: I will check the thermostat whenever i take it all apart to ensure it isn't stuck open or anything. I am leaning towards something malfunctioned for this to occur, i wasn't on higher boost and at the time havent had the tach beyond 3500...

    BHG Question

overflow/resovior was normal, besides a dirt like substance, could be oil reminants but not sure. Smoke does come from the engine area as well when i start for a few seconds. No fluid in top radiator hose though, i found a auto machine shop that will do the work for 80-90 but i have to remove...
