I finished connecting everything in the car after the engine swap (7m still, previous blew a rod)
Anyways, as suggested I took out the EFI fuse and cranked it over to get things moving.
Then I went to put it back in and start it afterwards and nothing happened. Not even a hint of trying to...
When I hooked up my battery this connector or whatever it powers made a weird noise. When i unhooked the connected (as shown) it stopped making the noise.
What is this? Theres one on each side of the car, but only the pass. side makes the noise.
I need to stop whining lol. I tore the black plastic cover off (stupid thing) and had a better look at the hoses. They weren't hard like I thought, I was just being lazy.
I got it off and the socket fell out. All that work just for a stupid piece of metal. :nono:
After having the tranny/engine out I have it back in now. I went to press in the clutch and it immediately sprung right to the floor and stayed there. Almost like something pulled on it after I stepped on it.
How can I fix this, and why did it do this?
I was tightening some hose clamps up with a 1/4" drive 10mm deep socket when it fell of my mini ratchet and went down the plastic intercooler pipe right beside the air filter/housing.
How can i get this out? What will it damage if it is left in?
I need this out ASAP so I can start the car...
I have this little hose, I think one end goes on the rubber accordian hose (the one from the turbo to the aircleaner), but I can't find where the other end goes.
This is the hose I'm talking about:
Thanks
Does anyone have a picture of the ECU and anti-lock brake computer mounted under the dash? I've spent half an hour twisting and turning both units and cannot figure out where they sat when mounted...
Jdub,
I went into Lordco (where I found they had RP and redline oil in town) (I think it's a Canadian autoparts store simular to autozone)
Anyways, I went to exchange the RP for the Redline MT-90 as recommended. The guy at the parts counter tried to tell me that Redline was crap and I should...
Hmm I wonder why the other thread on gear oil never mentioned that...
I already opened one bottle (at 12 bucks a quart) I will try to return the second bottle.

I bought some royal purple 75w-90 synthetic gear oil for the transmission... I searched and nothing came up...
What's the easiest way to fill the tranny (manual) with the gear oil, I don't have a pump is my problem. Is the fill-plug the only place I can fill it from? The TSRM didn't tell me...
