here you go matt dont feel left out I gotch ya covered haha. Actually pretty much all the supras at the meet were super clean. I geuss nobody has beaters or cheapo projects anymore. ps I love the wingless with the hatch spoiler combo. I think thats what Im gunna go for with my mkiii
Well the nw enjoyed our sunny weather for the 09 centralia meet. Great turn out. I heard someone counted 58 cars in total. Started out the morning with the carvan from the south for me.
was 8 cars in our carvan unfortunately I was always in the front 4 so never got pics of the others.
When...
Soapra I respect how many swaps you have done and your builds, but how can you argue with this evidence? The ds came with my front clip, I am fairly sure it is a jza70 ds. If it is not then how do you explain the fact that it is a half inch longer and still slides into a r154. Also Jeff stated...
I geuss if no one has had problems this far then it must not be to big of risk. you will have 2.5" of spline engagement rather then the full 3". Maybe if the 1jz were a torque monster it would cause more problems, personally I will just use the jz driveshaft because I have it. I realize this...
Imma try to sneek into your guys line up of the gens haha, as long as I just do the peek a boo you'll never know Im not in a mki. haha jk
so 10 o clock is the official starting time?
I measured a factory jza70 ds that came with my front clip this is where this whole thread started. It is a half inch longer. Yes you can use a 7m r154 ds on a 1jz r154 swap but it will not be fully engaged on the splines. I have pics I just keep forgetting to upload them.
I bet you would...
I think Imma try to go to this, low and slow in the dirty daily celica, maybe have 1 or two buddies coming. anyone else from portland area heading up? lmk
I had three different ds's all from r154 cars. all spline slid into the r154 trans. And I have pics of the ds's at home. Im with soapra in agreeing that the 1jz bellhousing is shorter. The 1/2" in the ds is in the front half of the 2 pieces and the carrier bearing still mounts in the same...
May be old news but I couldnt find anything. I have head rumors of the jz bellhousing being a little shorter then 7m ones. Well today I had both jz and 7m driveshafts in the garage so I went ahead and measured them up and sure enough the jz one is 1/2" longer on the front half of the driveshaft...
So far brands that I have heard of making coilovers for our cars include(Please if you have any info or review on these or any others please do add)
I will try to add as much info that I can find about all of these including special features spring rates etc for all models
This is gunna take a...
Woot woot!! Silver state mile here we come haha. jk.
how much strength comparison loss are we talking here? I may be interested in one of course depending on price, could you also pm me a price on what you would be charging for full rebuild service, just trying to get a ballpark idea.
Anyone have a list of available coilovers for our cars with specs? Just thought it was worth a shot. If not maybe we can get something going. I know hpf still has a pretty good list from when joe was working there, man I wish he still worked there he opened a whole bunch of products up to us...
Got one thanks anyways. Was looking for something to get the car up and running quick. The original had a rod knock among other problems, will be rebuilt later. Hes going on the hopes and prayers for the low mileage jdm. lol I dunno I found him better deals but he was pretty set on the low...
looking to find a jdm or rebuilt 7mge for a friend. Trying to get it here by the end of this week. Any one know any good importer places? Ive found one for 700 shipped but it would be a week wait for him but trying to find something cheaper if possible and quicker to get
is this car ever going to run on the track?
lol @ the first video gangster making the beats with the touch of the feet.
And the driving gloves!
I guess that's just how ballers like RonR roll
had same problem in my 88 was told thrust washer/ synchro by mechanics back then, actually mine started doing it in 2nd too after I was driving around for a while using 2nd as my starting gear. Im not real good with trannys so I just picked up a junkyard r154 and replaced the whole thing for...
Im glad to hear that other places are alot more restrictive then around here. All they do around here is stick a sniffer up the pipe for deq tags, and for inspections all they do is make sure the vin is correct in a few places. Or atleast thats my experience
Personally I wouldn't trust it
has anyone seen the mookeeeh products? has like exhaust, downpipe and inverted shock coilovers? any experience?
Not to be rude, I do respect and support purchasing from vendors. But yes there are also lots of places, and I even notice a lot of local shops...
Well now I have owned this car for about 6 years its time to make some new progress with it. about 3 years ago the 7mgte suffered what I thought to be a bhg but found it wasnt after I got it tore down. Times got pretty dramatic and the project never got put back together so its sat and sat under...
