What click do you hear from the ignition? Does the starter relay click?
As mk3forme said our pumps don't prime or anything with the ignition on.
Have you done the 12V mod to the fuel pump?
Hmm you guys have made me think harder. My dad used to help me out every now and then. He actually made a bracket to reverse the direction of my throttle cable. He's a ton smarter when it comes to certain mechanics like that.
... ERRR I mean get sucked
I had some major WOT problems a few months back, and just found this picture on my camera. The engine kept choking out and dieing over 2800RPMS. I logged with my wideband, spent an hour or so checking hoses and boost leak testing. Then my roomate pointed out...
A few months back my escort broke a trailing arm on the interstate, and the car pulled hard right. We hit a guardrail and were only going 40mph though. When they picked us up they said most people who have vehicle malfunctions like that end up going home in the meatwagon.
Glad you ended up...
The reliability on the NA/s is up there. I beat mine for two years before it died. I still miss daily driving a supra. Besides avoiding BHG, make sure to avoid rodknock. Check your oil often and fix any leaks. Other than that just regular maintenance should be good.
In my experience the high pressure line develops leaks sometimes. Other times it will just leak out the rack seals.
Replacing the high pressure line is expensive from Toyota, but you can adapt stainless braided line to work.
Pulling the rack and replacing the seals is a tough job. I had luck...
Yeah that sounds like a much cleaner solution. It's not like you'll need the ISC when under boost anyway. There shouldn't be any harm in routing it post-turbo with a check valve.
Really ... I never got that memo. Guess I need to up my asking price :<.
I'm glad our cars value is going up but asking people to take out loans to buy these cars seems odd to me. I guess it fits in with the prices of the mr2s, mkivs, fd rx-7s and other overpriced 15 yr old cars.
I guess...
Yeah wetsand it down very easy, once you start seeing white your hitting the paint, don't go to deep. You can then re-clear it afterword and it will look great and shine up that paint.
