    Cyl. #5 missing

Yes but I did again and am getting no spark. #6 wire appears to have a short too, but it still fires

    Cyl. #5 missing

So far I've checked the coils, wires, plugs, compression, and injector clip with a noid light. Can't find any issues. So I replaced the fuel Injector. Still doesn't fire on #5. I was looking for info to check the wiring to/from that specific injector, but the tsrm didn't detail that in...

    Break up!

some guys already got to it but you REALLY need to get a fuel pressure gauge on it. wideband would be good too. I've also heard the CPS can do ALL sorts of funky things if it's malfunctioning

I think the previous owner of the red car is a bit touched in the head ;)

    Control Arm Bushing Failure

ah, thanks for the advice. literally everything else is either brand new or tight, so I can't figure it would be anything else. just didn't know/wasnt sure

    Control Arm Bushing Failure

well it seems that the back bushing takes less effort to move than the front one. I couldnt simulate load though. more like the opposite of load (pushing out, instead of in) assuming that means it's bad?

    Control Arm Bushing Failure

hm. ok, I'll try that out, thanks.

    Control Arm Bushing Failure

Just curious if anyone could tell me what it feels like. (lower, I'm assuming) My passenger side had really bad tie rods, bad lower ball joint, and I think the bearing was bad too. all of that caused lateral play in the rack on that side too. I replaced all of that (new rack, wheel bearing...

    Dirt stuck in taillight? ideas?

nice ^ I was doing some reading and it seems like a crap shoot whether it's ok to soak plastic in parts cleaner. so I think that's probably a bad idea. damn, nice writeup, I woulda never thought to paint the inside like that. I see why yours actually match the center piece, haha

    Dirt stuck in taillight? ideas?

hm. that would be a LOT of cleaner, although a preferable method if it worked. the problem I've had is that the dirt is trapped under the outer layer of plastic. it's hard for water to even get in there ,':-| I am leaning towards this idea though. If it'll break up the dirt enough it might...

Coilovers or Shock/Springs??....keep in mind, I'm broke.

LOL good point. however. coilovers do exist with adjustable rebound and compression. if you don't like a stiff ride, it's definitely not for you. but I apparently like my ride extremely stiff. I have 12k springs up front and they're not stiff enough. almost though. they are definitely...

Coilovers or Shock/Springs??....keep in mind, I'm broke.

coilovers generally refer to the adjustable type, but this is correct^ I'd say coilovers. simple as this. whatever shock you buy, it will be designed for use with STOCK springs. any aftermarket springs will not ride right. they may be close enough to not notice if they're not stiff. I have...

    Dirt stuck in taillight? ideas?

hm. Thanks guys, great info. I think I'll be investing in a heat gun. May practice on a spare lens or something. So are the little brass studs screwed into the red lens? Just looking at it from the outside that appears to be the case. I imagine I could try to find a glue for...

    Dirt stuck in taillight? ideas?

I have an 89+ tail light (right side) that has quite a bit of dirt stuck inside of it. I've tried everything to get it out, but it just gets stuck even worse. Is there a way to completely take them apart? Using a heat gun or something? Seems like a good way to damage the assembly, but I'm no...
