I used the clutch (I think, maybe not) pedal and brake (I for sure used the JDM brake pedal) from my clip. They work but not very well.
You can only press down the brake pedal about half way because it hits the steering column.
Also, they brake and clutch pedals are about an inch from each...
That’s cool. I’ve never seen a 1jz piston, does it have the little oil gally the 2jz pistons have?
At least now we know we can use aftermarket 2jz pistons.
Yeah, the 2j block is about 2 inches taller than the 1j block, so they are not interchangeable. If you have a 1.5jz though, the 2j belt should work since your using a 2j block.
I'm in the same position as him. I've had my boost controller wired up for a month now, but I've been too lazy to try and get to the rear turbo for the vacume lines.
I went from an N/A auto to a 1j 5 speed and used a lot of the stuff from my clip. The only thing I didn’t use was the clutch pedal. The brake pedal works, but not well. It hits the steering column about ¾ way depressed. The brake and clutch pedal are also only 1-2 inches apart now.
