At the least, you'll need wheels along the lines of 10" - 10.5" front and 11" to 11.5" rear, depending on the offsets. By no means are these wheels cheap.
Oh sure, NOW you tell me... :p

Those are what I run 18x10 +12p 18x12 +0p these photos there are no spacers if you wanted to run a full size tyre on the rear I would get the 18x12 +17p that they offer as my rears stick 12+ mm out of the widebody guards on the front could probly do with a 15mm spacer to have a more aggressive fitnent like the rear

As for lowering the teins in mine are 5mm off the lowest setting fine for street but I have a track day coming up which I will raise it for

LOL. Did you think you were going to be able to spend less than $3000?
To be honest... hadn't even gave it much thought (if any) until the widebody stuff was already on the way. Would be done already if not for buying a house a little over a year ago. :p

Coilovers, best way to go if you can afford it. TH Motorsports is having a group buy on a nice set here:

Seems like you found the thread though. Spread the word!

If you guys don't wanna spend $2500-$3000 on a set of 3pc Work or SSR wheels. These are the rims posted on this thread a few pages back. 18x12 +0 rims from Rota that wont break your bank that bad.
It is a weight thing for me. I'd like to keep my wheels under 20 lbs each...

Thinking about buying a MKIII and turning it into a track car, but would need 295-315 tires for it's weight.

How do the rears attach? I saw that you had them riveted but that it wasn't suggested. Does the manufacturer just recommend using a product like a 3m seam sealer?

Thanks!

I've seen it riveted, as well as molded into the body. Depending on your rear ride height desired, you may need to cut the old fender to make room for the tire, but no big deal for a track car. ;)

FYI, if you're clever enough, it isn't too hard to fit a 295 in the rear. I've even seen 315's, but the tend to stick out just a bit...

295 could be fitted without a wide body. Just have to get some 10.5" wheels with offset in the mid 40s.

So with the Kaze Aerocarft rear widebody, 315s could easily be fitted with some 11.5" wheels.

Ok great thanks guys! I had seen 315's, I was thinking an 18x11. I found a pretty tired '88, that I could strip that the guy wants $1,500 for. I guess I will just need to decide if this is the car, I want to go with and actually get it in the garage and take some measurements.

Thanks,
Ryan

I have 18x10+12 265/35/18 on the front of mine it's very low doesn't rub the guard but rubs on the inner guards as I said my ride Hight is quite low.

I personally would like a 0 offset On the front for a flush look with still running a full sized tyre

I was planning on running a 17x10.5 (11" originally I seem to remember...), and came up with an ideal offset being around +25 on the fronts. Then again, I like my wheels tucked in enough. I do NOT want to be rubbing on my fenders, all things considered. I don't think CF fenders and tires at speed meeting would be a good idea. ;)

well seen as you are buying the same wheels as me and we have the same kit this IS how it will look

18x10 +12 265/35/18 - could easily run 275 if you wanted

18x12 +0 295/35/18

with the fronts anything more than the +12 offset you will regret as for the rears with the 0 offset 12's the biggest tyre you can run is a 295 so I really wish I got the +17 offset so I can run a 315 because were im from it is illegal to stretch tyres so I have to use different wheels for 6 monthly vehicle checks

I hope this helps also the higher the car/ less camber you run the wheels will stick out farther at the top I have -2g camber on the rears at -.05 camber and about 1" higher it looked quite mexican
