Who here has done 89+ tails conversion on a pre 89??

how did you guys get the damn Hatch lock to work?!?!?!

mine isn't even IN THERE its just a whole cause i can't figure out how to get it to mount up.....

HELP!!!!

the best way would be to buy an 89+ hatch lock. I just used some clear silcon and pushed my 87 lock into its place. then sealed it up with silicon from the inside.

yea i have the hatch lock

i had the whole 89 parts car.

but pre89 bolts to the removable panel and 89+ bolts to the body of the car behind the center light and pre89's dont have those holes....

i guess i'll have to drill my own?

you have to drill your own to do the conversion reaper

yea i kinda figured when i put the tails on i was in a hurry to get to a meet and didn't feel like driling i'll get back at it tho cause i just picked up a new body

it has the 89+ 3 piece wing 89+bumper but pre89 lights so i'll be switching them

Yeah, there are just 2 tiny little holes that need to be drilled, other than that, I chose not to have the hatch lock in the back. Instead, if you have relocated your battery to the back, that can be where you put your switch/button to kill your battery.
