"Coolant temperature has dashes on the gauge. 89+ is all like "wat."

Not just the coolant, the fuel and oil gauges don't have the "hash" marks either.

Now look what youv'e caused! Now I'm I'm gonna spend the whole afernoon to swap over the face's from my "88" over to my "90" gauge pack.

^--If you get a 160mph 91+ speedo, you can get all the lines, without the draw back (and recalibration) of the pre 89 140 speedo..

150 you mean ;) just cause theres no number doesnt mean it isnt there

88/8 Series 2 (So I voted 89) as Mine's JDM first of the series two which are labelled 89+ :)

what wheels are those? they look a lot like mine.

btw I've bought an 87 and 89, and a random mix of other parts.

had 88 n/a targa
have 89 turbo targa

87-88 had super moniter. all supras should have had that.

89+ have better interior: rear speakers, door panels, misc black plastic opposed to color matched, steering wheels.
89+ had better blocks and late models better turbos.
89+ better ecu
89+ progressive power steering

* can't argue there, although 89+'s had more power/torque (not a giant amount, but it's there)..
Its not exactly noticeable, and who the crap keeps their car stock anyways? Thats literally not good for the car!

I have a Supermonitor, but it doesnt work :(. I can only assume its not hooked up somehow, because it has never been "on." One day I'd like to fix that.

89+ had better blocks? The only differences between the pre89 7M-GTE and the 89+ are the turbo (which is negligibly different) and the crank (also not a drastic difference).

89 had a bastard ECU that is different from the 87-88s and the 90-92s. The only thing that would make one ECU better or worse than another is that the AEM plug and play ECU is cheaper for the 87-88s :p

As far as progressive power steering, I never cared for it myself. It just makes it more expensive to replace when it goes out.

ive read that the 89+ are easyier to tune also. but it might just be 90+ idk.
