While we are on the subject of air vents, is there anyway to fix the Low setting on the fan speed? On low there is nothing and on medium it feels like high lol.
Fix the resistor block. I've fixed 4 or 5 of them now. I'll probably re-do the one in my '90 just because.

Today my Bosch 110 came in. I was excited... Until I opened it up. Turns out they sent me a 102 instead. Now I have to deal with claims and trying to get it replaced. That brought me down a little, but seeing as how i can't drive it anyways its more of a let down than an urgent problem. Oh well. Hopefully ngk sends me my new 3330's next week and they're the right plugs.

Is there a tutorial on how to do it?
It's not difficult.

The resistor block consists of some coils of wire soldered to a board. It's supposed to be cooled by the airflow from the fan in the vent, though that means that the slow speed coils, which need the most cooling actually get the least.

You can find the coil(s) which are burned out and solder then together, or, what I did was just to replace them. I used bell wire (The stuff with the red coating on it so that it doesn't short) and it worked perfectly. I got some 18AWG and some 22 AWG to do the different sized coils. I wrapped the bell wire around the shaft of a screwdriver to make the same number of coils as the wire I was replacing, scraped off the insulation ofr about 5mm, then de-soldered the broken coil, and soldered in the replacement. Results are perfect, and I can't tell the difference from the coils that are there, except that the bell wire is a lot sturdier, and less likely to cause a problem in the future. It seems that most of the resistance is actually caused by the air gap coil rather than the length of wire, kind of makes sense for a DC fan motor.

Anyway, I think that anyone with halfways passable soldering skills could do it easily.

Diagnosed and repaired my slight miss at idle as a clogged injector. Installed new hood and hatch struts.

Upon research it does seem to be an easy thing to fix but I don't want a band aid, so I may do what you did and replace it with better wires normally I would buy a replacement but those I assume still have bad or not as good wires as you can get. It seems that the coil in question is on the passenger side under the glove box toward the firewall but I don't know exactly how to get to it, like do I pull the carpet out a bit or is it behind something else?

EDIT: I found a thread on here about this very issue
http://www.supramania.com/forums/showthread.php?136999-A-C-fan-speed-help
So the coils are 3 separate coils ranging from a small gauge wire for low speed to a higher gauge wire for high speed correct? Each wire is soldered on separately as well?

I put in a couple poly bushings. Got the fronts done last week, and finished the rear left today. One more wheel!

Today I wired extensions on my AEM gauges for signal to the ecu for MAP and Wideband. I pulled out my old SAFC2, and redid some wires I spliced to wire in the SAFC. Tomorrow I plan on wiring my IAT into the harness along with the signals for wideband and map. I will also hopefully have enough time to mark out where I am going to put my IAT bung on my IC piping. I am hoping to be converted to a full working MAP setup by tomorrow night.

The AEM base map for the AFM started my car right up, so hopefully I can wire in the map, wideband, and IAT and make the little changes in the computer and it will also fire right up.

Brakes started squeaking, took the front wheel off. The rotors looked weird, there wasn't much pad either. There had been a judder that starts at higher speeds the past week too. Time for new pads and rotors :(

Ya I paid to get the little panels in the middle done because of the stitching I paid 100 to get those done and I did the rest myself that cost about 40 dollars for a couple yards the door panel leather has foam padding already on the back of it. It wasn't to expensive. If I had to do another panel it would come out alot better if I had to do it agian

I got more pics

And other panels I did with left over leather

I've heard good things about BG springs but the price kind of scares me because they are so cheap but the reviews are also good.
