Keep in mind that if I like many here had an unlimited budget, this post would never had started.

There are of course wheels I like better, but at a price 3 times as high.

I see many other 5 spoke wheels that can be had for $150 a piece.

OK... so using your numbers above... the rims you want are $450 each? That's fine... the rims I have waiting to go on my 89 were about that.

But you're gonna spend $600 now and then in a few years spend the $1800 - trust me on this one - to get the rims you really want.

So now you've spen't $2400.

If you can't get what you want... wait.

if they were just the split 5-spoke, it would look pretty nice. but i think those are ugly too...

but yeah, i would save up for some other rims... and check craigslist, you can sometimes find some good rims on there.
